The Replacement Judge

" Oh why do I feel as I am being set up." with these thought caused Gabbi to tossed and turned on her bed and slipped off to dreamland at the break of dawn. She woke up late for work and hurried to her office to finish her workload for the day and be ready for the event tonight.

" I can see you spend sleepless night thinking of the event tonight? I brought you, your favorite coffee and favorite sandwich I had also finished some of your work yesterday they're waiting for you to check it out do some revisions and sign them. " Deana placed the food on her side table as she surveys her friend .

" Thanks Deana you are an angel, I will have more time to get ready for tonight. What will I do without you." she delightedly gave her assistant her brightest smile, a smile that was scarsely seen on her face for the last ten years. Deana met Gabbi and Leila when the two were trainees on the firm where she is working as a personal assistant, she was assigned to them managing their carreers as a trio girl group together with Jennifer fortun who the later left the group to persue a solo career. As time went by, the they build a lasting friendship, then later on when Gabbi quit she offered her a job in the company she is starting as Deana became burned out with her Job.

The day progresses smoothly by three o'clock Gabbi was getting ready to leave the office when Deana knock and showed herself inside the room.

" You are ready ? " she just nod her head affirmatively and raise brows inquiring.

" Let's go!"

" You're coming with me? "

"Yes only up to the salon , because if I know you wll just downplay on your appearance and choose to be plain Jane causing for the others to demean your personality which is not proper for the boss of this company being maligned for beeing unattractive and other stuffed not related to being a judge, and I may add Josh Amarillo will be one of the judge along side with you and Jennifer Fortun."

" Why are telling me this just now? "

" Because I knew what your reaction will be just like now." Deana reasoned.

" How could you Deana, the last thing that I needed was to be in contact with those two." Gabbi gave her friend an agonized look.

" For what its worth you don't have to fear them it's them who wrong you, and that bitch it's about time she realise that the universe doesn't revolve on her, her stars are fading overshadowed by her scandal left and right."

" That is besides the point Deana I don't them avoid them because I am guilty as charge its just that I don't want scandal to resurface after all this time. I feel that they bring out the worst in me."

" It won't, I assure you I will be on the sidelines to avoid any unpleasant thing to occur."

"...and our third judge is not just talented singer, she also a voice coach to some of our famous singers, she is the founder of skyline foundation that caters to the needy but talented youngster, helping them to start their carreers. Together with her brother they are the power behind GnG unlimitted, Let us welcome the ever beautiful Ms Gabbi Navarro!!!"

An overwhelming applause was rendered by the audience as Gabbi was ushered to her seat there was a surprise look on two judges who was already introduced earlier as she wave to the audience .

"Good evening everyone, thanks for that wonderful introduction, Marie" she turn to greet the host of the show.

"We miss you Ms Gabbi, what are you getting busy at this time, if Ms Lee was here we won't be able to enjoy your presence here tonight."

" You know I'm not difficult reach just have to undergo the proper chanel as you have said i'm quite busy here and there, I have things on my hands but, I will always try to make time for occations like this."

"It's been a long while Gabbi,still as beautiful as ever.How are you? " Josh greeted her to her surprise and irritation on jennifer's face but recovered imediately she may have reliazed she is on national television, which didn''t escape from Gabbi.

" I am very well Josh, thank you. I can see you're well too." and she gave him her knock out smile just to spite the woman sitting beside her.

" I didn't expect you here tonight judging I was inform that Leila Lee will be judging. " she intentionally left her microphone open so her comment was heared by everyone.

" I'm sure Ms. Gabbi will be an excellent replacement Jen, as she already judge countless shows before." the host come to Gabbi rescue as to avoid further missunderstanding, Knowing the past involving the three of them.

"Oops! sorry I didn't realise my mike..."

" It's okay Jen, it's not a secret that I replaced Leila, she couldn't make it, you know personal emmergency, that's what are friends for helping each other instead of bashing them for their shortcomings." she cut her out and giving her a sweet smile much to the other woman embarasshment.

"You're still a replacement." this time she turned her microphone off.

"It's a legit replacement it is better than stealing." she kept her smile plastered on her face but Jennifer knows how deep the meaaning of her words meant.

" Hey! cut it out ladies," which the women intensionally ignored him.

The introduction of the fourth judge dispel a little of the tension on judges seat as she is a bubly comedian with strings of novelty hits on the music scene .

The criteria was introduced and the rules of the contest was revealed. The show progresses with not much tension as Georgie the comedian easily stears the discussion to a lighter side he is a stand-up comedian thet had made few hits.

And the show continues to shoot three times a week.
