Mag-log inAlthough I knew that would only happen in my wildest dreams, the thought of someone appreciating me for who I am and not only for my gift was beyond wonderful. I had always pictured the emotions I would experience after meeting my soul partner, including happiness and heartache.
Their eyes were asking questions, which I observed. Possible questions about why they were mated with a human. There has never been a bond between a werewolf and a human ever before in history.
If I had been in their position, I might have thought that I was a witch who had cast some sort of spell to grab the two alpha kings.
I was raised off the ground by one of the wolves who had tossed me there, leaving right after shockingly pleading with me for forgiveness and then instantly bowing down to their Alphas to make a similar request.
“We apologize alphas kings as we were unaware that the female would serve as your mate.” They both requested forgiveness, and I felt obliged to do the same because I had infringed upon their rights by entering their territory.
“What is this? What joke is this? What kind of witchery is this?!” One of the twins roared in anger.
In horror and fright, I slowly started backing away crying my eyes out. Even just being in their mere presence made me fear for my life.
When one of the alphas took a stride in my direction, I quickly stepped back in fear for my dear life and somehow had managed to clumsily knock myself to the ground.
“How about telling me your name, my sweetheart?” If I weren’t in a situation where I felt like my heart was about to leap out of my chest, I would have blushed at the attractive yet terrifying alpha’s remark.
The alpha who was standing before me, who appeared to be somewhat calm, asked a question, and when I didn’t respond, he spoke again.
“Come forward, little mate; I promise we won’t harm you.” I took another step back after one of the alphas spoke, which made me jump in fear and almost blush at his remarks.
“Has she spoken since she arrived here?” The other alpha asked turning to one of the pack Warriors who had brought me in just now.
“She’s been quite ever since she came here Alpha Maddox,” The wolves obediently answered.
The angriest of the twin's alpha had questioned, I now knew his name as alpha Maddox.
“Before I rip your throats out for what you did to our mate, you should both return to your duty.” The two werewolves in his pack were given instructions by alpha Maddox.
My eyes widened when I realized that after being angry a while ago about me being his mate, alpha Maddox had suddenly referred to me as his mate.
I again retreated in fear as the other alpha tried taking a step towards me. They stopped staring at me with a glare and instead exhibited some gentleness in their eyes but that was not going to fool me.
I glanced up at both alphas as they continued to stare at me while displaying emotions, I did my best to keep a safe distance between us since I didn’t want to unexpectedly experience another emotion from them that may harm me.
“Can you talk to me?” I stayed mute while Maddox asked a question, and a little while later, he snarled.
“Has someone harmed you?” I was frozen in fear as the other alpha spoke, and he appeared to be resisting the impulse to approach me and engage in conversation.
I was quite thankful that they hadn’t murdered me just yet considering that they were referred to as the “instant kill alphas.” But I know better than to place my trust in them.
I wasn’t one for talking as a I had not talked for years. Ever since I was shunned upon four years ago by some of my pack members who I had dared to call friends along with my parents locking me up in my house for my own protection and that witch. I had quite the troubled past I should say.
“I’ll murder them.” My eye widened as I slowly backed away and into the corner after hearing alpha Maddox’s remarks.
I’ve heard so many tales about the Bloodmoon pack and how, due to their strength and ruthlessness, they were referred to be the rulers of the werewolf world.
Those tails were accurate, as the two formidable Alphas in front of me attested. Since I was no longer surrounded by family or friends who could help me, I curled up inside of myself. Consequently, I was now all alone by myself.
They would now make me their slave and a worthless human because they could do nothing with me. I may have been a little swayed at the time by their nice words, but I already knew the truth. I started to tremble just thinking about what would happen if the alpha kings were in authority of me.
“Alpha kings, you had summoned me just now?” I heard a female voice quickly made her way inside stopping just before them.
I suppose they had mind-linked her.
The petite, silver-eyed, dark-haired girl gave me a quick glance as her eyes started to light up with excitement, but I was still trembling in fear.
“We want her to be cleaned and well cared for because she is our mate. She will be staying in our bed tonight, so make sure everything is prepared for her. You may fulfill her needs in any way possible, unless that may be physical. Check to see whether she feels at ease. I'm sure I do not have to make myself clear that if anything were to happen to her, would someone have to bear responsibility for it and die?”
My eyes widened in surprise. Staying in their bed?!
“You have my word, Alpha Kings. I'll have her prepped and ready.” She quickly corrected herself after addressing her alphas before coming over to me, and if it were even possible, I cowered further into a ball.
Haelyn’s POV Epilogue... One Year Later..... The dungeon hadn’t changed. Still cold, still dark, still reeking of despair and dampness. My heels clicked against the stone floor as I descended the narrow staircase, two of our most trusted guards flanking me on either side. A year had passed since that day at the Council, since justice had been served. A year since I’d held my newborn babies in my arms for the first time. A year of growth, change, and unexpected mercy. “Luna,” one of the pack guards said, stopping before a heavy iron door. “Are you certain you want to do this alone?” “I’m certain,” I replied, my voice steady. “Open it.” The door creaked open, revealing the cell beyond. It was cleaner than I’d expected, almost comfortable compared to what I’d imagined. A small bed, a table, books stacked neatly in the corner. This wasn’t a torture chamber—it was confinement with a chance at redemption. Two figures looked up as I entered. Beta Dixon sat in the corner, his once-pr
Haelyn’s POV “Absolutely not,” Maddox said, staring down at Asher’s soiled diaper with an expression of pure horror. “There’s no way something that small can produce something that... horrific.” I couldn’t help but laugh, bouncing Lyra gently in my arms as I watched my powerful Alpha mate recoil from a dirty diaper like it was a dangerous weapon. “It’s just poop, Maddox. You’ve faced down rogue wolves, dark witches, and the entire Werewolf Council without flinching. Surely you can handle one tiny diaper.” “That is not just poop,” Mason chimed in from across the nursery, where he was attempting to change Kieran’s diaper with the kind of intense concentration usually reserved for battle strategy. “That’s... I don’t even know what that is. It smells like something died. Multiple times.” “They’re your sons,” I reminded them, trying to suppress my grin. “And this is part of being a father. Now, Maddox, grab the baby wipes and actually clean him properly this time. You can’t just d
Haelyn’s POV The first thing I became aware of was warmth. Not the burning, tearing pain I remembered, but a gentle, encompassing warmth that seemed to wrap around me like a blanket. The second thing was the sound of breathing. Multiple rhythms, some deep and steady, others quick and light. My eyes fluttered open slowly, the bright afternoon light filtering through the windows making me squint. Everything felt heavy, my body weighted down as if I’d been asleep for days. Maybe I had been. As my vision cleared, I turned my head slightly and my heart stopped. There they were. Maddox sat in the large chair beside my bed, cradling two tiny bundles against his bare chest. His eyes were closed, his head tilted back against the chair, exhaustion evident in every line of his face. But there was something else there too, something I’d never seen before. Peace. Pure, unfiltered peace. Mason stood by the window, gazing down at a third bundle in his arms, his fingers gently tracing the baby’
Haelyn’s Pov Everything happened in a blur. One moment I was staring at the blood on my fingers, the next I was being lifted into Maddox’s arms, his face a mask of terror. Mason was already at the door, bellowing orders that echoed through the castle corridors. “Get the pack doctor now!” The world tilted and spun as Maddox ran, his powerful legs eating up the distance between our chambers and the medical wing. I could feel his heart hammering against my cheek where it pressed against his chest, the frantic rhythm matching my own. “Stay with me, Haelyn,” he commanded. “Don’t you dare leave me. Don’t you dare.” I tried to answer, but the words wouldn’t come. Pain was radiating through my abdomen now, sharp and insistent, like something was trying to claw its way out of me. I clutched at Maddox’s shirt, my fingers twisting in the fabric as another wave hit me. The medical wing doors burst open before we reached them, pack members scattering out of our way. The pack doctor, Dr. Sie
Haelyn's POVI collapsed onto the silk sheets, my body trembling with exhaustion and satisfaction. My chest rose and fell rapidly as I tried to catch my breath, every muscle in my body deliciously spent. Mason lay beside me, his arm draped possessively across my waist, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on my hip."I think... I think I need a minute," I breathed out, a satisfied smile tugging at my lips.Maddox prowled toward the bed from where he'd been standing by the window, his eyes still dark with desire. That predatory look on his face made my core clench despite my exhaustion."A minute?" he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine. "I don't think so, little mate."Before I could protest, his hands were on me, flipping me onto my hands and feet with an ease that made me gasp. His palms smoothed down my back, over the curve of my ass, making me shiver under his touch. He positioned himself behind me, and I could feel the heat radiating from his body."Madd
Mirella’s POV The heavy doors slammed shut behind the Alpha Kings and their mate, the sound echoing through the chamber. The sight of my daughter bent over in Maddox’s grip, begging for her life. My Kallista. My beautiful, perfect daughter. Theon’s groans caught my attention as he cradled his broken hand, snapping it back into place with a loud cry as it heals. My eyes swept across the council members still in shock, frozen like statues, their faces pale with shock. “Well?” I spat, my voice filled with rage and desperation. “Are you all just going to sit there? They’re going to execute my daughter! Our daughter!” I gestured wildly at Theon. “Do something!” The council members exchanged glances, but no one moved. No one spoke. “Do something!” I screamed, my voice breaking. I made my way toward the throne. “Rhogar! Fenric! Liora! You’ve known Kallista since she was a child! You’ve watched her grow up! And you’re just going to let them take her?” Elder Rhogar shifted uncomfortably
