When we pulled back again from each other, we smiled and turned to start walking towards the river, with Thorne still holding my hands.

“You were so brave today.” He complimented me.

“I was? Then I guess I hid my emotions well because I was at the verge of giving up.”

“You were?”

“Yes, I was so scared. When I thought of us keeping them away instead of fighting. I doubted if my plan would work. I was so anxious.”

“This shows that you're a good leader, so you don't have to worry yourself.” He responded and I smiled. We kept walking and walking without a destination in mind. I didn't want us trailing off to a far place.

Currently, we had to be careful of Lucas, that man could wake up and decide he would kill 100 men today and he'll do it.

He knew the right words to use that would bring smiles to my face. “Thank you.” I gently squeezed his hand.

“You're welcome.” He said and finally realized that we were too far from the park. “I think we should go back.”

We laughed and turned back.
