Chapter 6

DOMINIQUE'S POV

Away from the river, I sat on a rock to wait for my Aunt. She did promise to return to me after the runs. I just have to to wait for her then.

Waiting on the rock, I heard more howling near and far from me. It shows how close most of the wolves are to my point, for the run.

Hearing how they howl, it made my heart ache to the depth. Making me wish that I had my own wolf within me, so I could join them in the run.

"I bet it's fun, but..." I just can't.

The images from what happened to my family, keeps on hunting me hard, that whenever I see a wolf, I get terrified to the core.

It's almost as if my family are crying out to me to save them. I just can't bare it.

Just then, I heard rustling from the bushes. I turned to find four glowing eyes watching me.

My heart skipped when I saw this, that I had to jump off the rock I was sitting on.

Those shimmers alone will tell you exactly what creature is that. These are wolves of course.
