LOCKED UP

SELENA’S POV
*******************
My father has become unbearable since I spent the night at Chris. This was not the first time I didn't sleep at home but I think he suspects I was with Chris. He had refused to talk to me when I got home the following day, he was cold and distant throughout the day, the next day he seemed better but I knew something was wrong.
He forbade me from going to church on the Sunday after my sleepover. I wanted to argue but I knew my father well enough. Once you refuse to do as he said, he finds a way to punish and make your life miserable. I just left him and started walking b
TO LIVE OR TO DIE *************** Selenas pov *************** “I am pregnant.” I felt thrilled and joyous at the same time even though I never planned to get pregnant now. But carrying Chris’s baby was exciting to me. However, I was a bit afraid because of my father. He tried to persuade me to abort the baby but I was adamant to keep the baby, nothing would make me kill Chris and me. No harm must come to my baby, but with time I started feeling numb. Father has trolled me with insults and was nearly physical with me the other day. I barely escaped unhurt when he threw the flower vase at me and it came crashing on the wall.
THIS ISN'T GOODBYE ********************* NARRATORS POV ********************** Selena's father could not believe his luck, after years of trying to separate his daughter and the riff-raff boyfriend of hers, the universe itself handed him a way, out of the blue. He believed that it was not a mere coincidence, nature itself was against such abominable union. He could not suppress the joy he felt right now. Finally, this whole mess would be over and he would have his daughter back, even though she was not his innocent little daughter anymore. “Did you really think that Selena would stick with a lowlife like you?” Mr. Harry Delacriou
IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE ****************** SELENA POV ****************** Days turned to months and from my calculations, it is exactly four months since I last saw Chris. I have not heard from him nor received any messages. My father has also been intolerable, he has ensured that my life is a living hell. Aside from the mental torture I receive from dad and aunt, my pregnancy progressed well and I already have a well-rounded baby bump which is quite visible now. The other day I felt its first movement, the baby kicked ever so gently and I wanted so much to share the moment with Chris but I don't know how to reach out to him. I was confined in the basement and the house guards were asked to watch me during my afternoon walk around the compound, so escaping was not an available option. My aunt whom I thought would be on my side sold me
A LIFE FOR A LIFE ********************** NARRATORS POV ********************** “Get some water.” Selena's father yelled and a bottle of water was gotten from the kitchen and sent to him. He uncocked the lid and poured some of the liquid into his hand before he sprinkled it on her face. She did not move or show any sign of life. Frustrated, he turned over the bottle directly over her face. The huge amount of water that poured on her face made her gasp and began to move her body. He lifted her from the ground and placed her on her bed, his heart thumped fast as he watched his child fight to live. Mr. Harry cursed out at Chris even when his
THE THOMPSONS Here begins the story of Chris and Selena's son Caleb Thompson. ****************** NARRATOR POV ****************** Sarah and Craig Thompson have been married for almost twenty years, they had an only son who died during a fishing trip. It was a freak accident that happened so fast and he was declared dead immediately after the paramedics arrived. He was only 10 years old when it happened and his parents had tried to conceive again but failed, this was because Craig had an irreversible vasectomy after the birth of his son, they had agreed to have only one child and even though he went for medical corrections nothing could be done for them.
ADOPTED SON **************** CALEB'S POV **************** I would not claim to be the happiest or luckiest of them all, however, I would never claim unlucky or unloved. I got good grades in school even though I was not a nerd. My parents ensured that I led a Christian life to the best of their knowledge. I never noticed the difference between myself and my parents until I turned ten. That fateful day, I was unfortunately late for school which rarely happened, and had to run all the way from the school gate to my class. At my speed, I bumped into a well-known bully and we both crashed on the ground.
SOPHIE FERNANDEZ **************** Narrators pov **************** “The only choice you have available to you now is to get married.” “No father, I won't.” crossing her arms Sophie went to take a seat. “You know this is the only condition your grandparents gave if you want to partake.” her mother interjected, it was not an easy task trying to convince Sophie against her will. But truthfully she had no choice. “Why is grandpa
MAKE BELIEF ****************** CALEB'S POV ***************** Zoey's accusation made things worse for me, to get myself out of the whole mess I needed help and the only help that was available came with conditions. I had no choice but to accept the offer of the contract marriage, so I could get a good lawyer for free, well at the cost of my freedom. The high-profile lawyer started the process of proving my innocence immediately after I agreed to the proposal and they also had to fight for me to get reinstated in school so I could graduate. My father worked as a chef to a billionaire business tycoon an
