The next afternoon, all schedules planned were postponed. Harry was shocked by this sudden revelation, that it took some while to settle down the deals and purchases meant for that day.
About three official calls, about twenty or so dealing calls, and finally in between, to add spices, his fiancé would call to make sure he had had his breakfast or had drunk eight glasses of water.
"Its just to make sure that big boss isn't making you dehydrated or anything"
He laughed, keeping his head tilted so it held the phone while another limb arranged the sheaf of papers scattered in the main bedroom of his boss.
"Nah! Seriously, can't trust that jerk!"
"Alright, love, that's enough. I'll catch up with you later. Love you"
'Yeah, year. Love you too!"
Saying so, Harry ended the call, before another string of curses on Aiden barged upon his head.
Now, what specialty did this noon have was uneventful, for the lights were swished up and down with balloons, personally by the gardener, Jacob.
Aiden had mentioned vacuuming twice, to a stunned Harry who knew how annoyed his master was by the whirring sound of that machine, and all the bathrooms were cleaned personally by Jacob’s step-wife, Mrs. Tiny who often accompanied in case of extra handiwork.
"I guess, it's enough, right? How big a meeting could it be?', remarked Harry, at the frustrated gardener who was feeling desolate without Scottie. The little guy was locked up inside the garage, in case he went crazy at visitors like that once when he bit another dog of a business colleague. However, for that he gained an extra chicken leg, as his master wasn’t willing to meet anyone then.
"I wish it's over. Poor Scottie", said his loose accent.
Harry shook his head and calmed down the man, whose worse panic attacks over such small matters always ended up in hospital cases.
And just then, a posh four-wheeler pulled up by the gate.
"Woah! Mr. Aiden, I am impressed", remarked Mrs. Halsey, whose irritating presence was upsetting his master. Harry made sure both their guests, one unfamiliar and another much well known were met with juices, cakes, and biscuits; all of the special Iranian taste and aroma. The anonymous lady kept her head down, stuck to Mrs. Halsey like glue, without much to say. Nevertheless, Harry was so confused by all of it.
Mrs. Halsey as always ate little, mentioning her diet and disease controlled her excessive hunger, which wasn't as surprising as calculated.
But what caught Harry's eye was the way the other gobbled up everything. Like a cat, she would smell it. Then give it a lick, to see if it's edible or not, and then in a munch, the entire thing is inside of her.
Munching away, in a few minutes, she had finished two plates of three variety sweets he had brought for both of them.
"...Eats well, I guess", Harry remarked, in a grin.
Aiden, who preferred silence, especially when he was agonized often asked Harry to fill up the awkwardness with his words. As an assistant, he was just doing his job again.
"She does. However, not so much”
Ignoring the question, she pulled down her hands to stop Anna from hogging and got up with her purse.
Her body was shining after a body wash, but the wrinkles covered them up, showing how old that saggy skin was.
"Aiden let's talk."
But he wasn't listening.
Instead, he was no longer sitting on the couch.
Across Anna, with another bowl of sweets from Harry, he was pushing a sweet nut into her hands.
"Eat"
Anna met his eyes.
Again, that warmth. But in a man of such pride and pomp, it felt too unreal. However, altogether hungry, she began to eat again.
Mrs. Halsey was now burning, more or less surprised, like how Harry understood. He was seeing something he never thought he would perceive in his life once, or maybe never.
"Master-'
'Harry, take her to the main room"
Aiden stood. Her hands still held the bowl of sweets. Maybe in
guilt, because her mistress was now trying to kill her with glares. However, Aiden did the best thing ever. Grabbing the towel hanging on Jacob's shoulder, he slowly placed it over Anna's eyes and whispered, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Shut your eyes if your ex-mistress is disturbing you"
"MR AIDEN!". Her yell echoed.
Her scream of pain didn't make the big man change his decision. Harry took away Anna, holding a towel to her eyes, while they resumed their actions.
"Mrs. Halsey, I guess, my actions have spoken"
The latter didn't budge. She felt humiliated and absolutely pained.
"You can leave now"
She sneered.
"And what makes you think so, I would?"
Aiden crossed his arms.
"Why wouldn't you? You have nothing to lose anyway"
Her head shook.
"Anna is never for free."
Aiden nodded, understanding.
"Anything for her"
She smirked again.
"I assume, this is more than a business deal"
Aiden never answered unnecessary questions.
"Your deal?"
"Anna is yours, forever to come and all she is will be yours in return for this ultimate favor..or can I say deal?"
Aiden shook his head and stressed.
"It's a deal, no matter what."
Mrs. Halsey, whose mind now revolved around all those moments of love and hatred playing in her eyes.
Pushing her away and giving more space to an ideal cook in the kitchen, whose hands are tormented with dirt and feet bare and licking germs. The difference insulted her, and no less severe punishment could solve this.
Her voice threatened the entire room as she spoke.
"Mr. Aiden Mathews"
The big proud guy now stood, listening.
"Marry my daughter”
"Where were you?", Aiden growled.Harry bowed, "Sorry..I just paid Anna a visit""In her kitchen?", he raised a brow."Yes-s""Hmm..okay. Where is she?'"Setting the table"Aiden gave him a suspicious look and sat down.I came running in with the plates and saucers, my face beaming. Aiden noticed or he didn't, I didn't care for anyone. The imprint of our fingers intermingling itself was still fresh in my head.Maybe this wasn;t a bad idea. After all, Yana did admit of taking in Harry. Why not then?Harry helped with taking the curry and rice, and desserts. I rushed and gave jacob uncle and scottie their food before sitting down.Harry sat next to Aiden, the two opposite me.Though Jacob sir wasn't allowed in the table, I gave him a set up in my room, since it would be so much better to have food in the shade than the scorching heat."What's so funny?'Thunder wrecked the table as Aiden's voice demanded entry."Is that to me?"He looked at the table, spoons clacking at the rice, and cur
Hey folks,So here's the deal.I had taken a very extended leave. Unasked for yes. I never stated it and it just happened. To mark it, I was repeating an entrance exam that would have marked my future. I needed those almost six months that I have been absent here, in order to be present there.Exams and long schedules really took a toll on me, that I just couldn't gather the energy to be here and write down my next chapters.I'm so glad to be back, and honestly its the bets decision I have ever made cause I aced the exams!Wooho, so I'm BACK!I shall be updating regularly for this week and then it might reduce to three times a week, cause I need to deal with universities and colleges, the list which shall be out by next week probably. But I won't disappear againSo thank you for waiting for me.Not leaving this book aside like most would have.Anna has a lot to learn from Aiden and vice versa.Love,Your Author
I hated him."Did you meet Mrs Halsey?'No.I held my breath, "I can't do this , Yana. The more I stay there, the more suffocating it gets, and I just can't ...I wanna kill him so bad tomorrow, itself, that I won't show the patience to get Misssus what she wants as well"Yana, my friend in the kitchen once, and still held my hands. We met in the park. After Aiden left, I made sure to arrange food for Jacob uncle and Harry, leaving Aiden's lunch box with him since I had no mind to take it again like a loser, get a sort of a date and some really irritating butterflies before he just threw me around like garbage."You just have to hang on. Missus says its her last wish before death"I wanted to cry."But why me, Yana? Why couldn't it be Smrithi or Shekhar? They would have done a great job!"She knew that."Well, that man is to blame. Aiden is a whole lot of what he manages to cause as the talk of the town. Stubborn, annoying and unpleasant. Nobody really kicks off with him. Since his busi
"What have you learned?" I looked down, 'Specifically nothing much"Mrs. Halsey seemed irritated, She signalled for coffee and sighed,"I thought you would make it easily""He is a wall, mistress. I can't just.....barge in""I know! But you are perfect for this job"She was trying to build over my already dripping confidence. Because I didn't know what I want; that man or his secrets."You can do it. Trust me. You have all my help"I took a deep breath.Yes, I could."Tell me, what is that mistress actually wants?"She smiled,"His papers of the land""Where were you?"I got in, only to be noticed by Harry. My mind sped again, in the same intensity whenever he came closer."Coffee with......friend"He shook his head, "Seems like someone else, but I will leave it at that"He offered me the way, as a respected man."That is some manners Master must learn"He grinned, "Aiden has his way of things. He has always been like that""Your too informal", I cleared my throat, to show it was no o
"Two Americanos"I simply had no idea this would be so easy. Knowing what a man he could be, intolerant and the least caring type, I was expecting him to be ignorant. But that strange knocked-out face made me think twice on whether he was pretending, but it seemed, either way, benefit able for me."You like Americano?""You?"He raised an eyebrow. I slapped my face and smiled"Sorry, sir~ Do you like Americano?"He stared at me, blankly, those words failing to come out.I smiled again and he looked elsewhere. Thankfully, the cafe wasn't in the off times, or rather let's say, the rich of the building were too busy to even grab a coffee. Apart from a woman with a dog, there was not a soul, and the waiter; a young guy got us our coffees. The fact he bent a bit to bow in front of Aiden made me exhale a bit."Why coffee?"This question seemed unexpected. I mean, when someone invited you, that is not what you ask unless and until you are planning to have the coffee in an awkward conversation
"Where is the exact location?" "You can't just barge in when you want. A private meeting is going on" "But Master forgot his food!" "Food isn't more important than rules" I almost spat my frustration out at him but remained silent enough in order to let the calm vibe walk in. There was no way I was destroying my image by actually fighting with a security guard. Mistakenly or as to how it should be, Mr. Aiden, the world-class man whose good qualities shined everlastingly, had forgotten his lunch bag. Being the one and only who could get it to him, here I was, in the most formal wear of mini skirts and white sleeves, wanting to meet him. "This shall be given to him" "Please let him know a piece of my mind too" I gave in, as fast as possible, just when the guard was getting a bit too excited by my dress. I almost killed him with a glare and began to walk off to the taxi driver when I heard a gate creaking open. I turned around and found Harry in blood and flesh. My blood ran throu
