Celine POV
Pacing back and forth, my heart beating in a repetitive manner, I thought through several ways in which I would serve my punishment in the hands of Alpha Adrian.
The festival was over and it hurts that I never got to say the prayers I so desired to make after taking so much risk. I had seen the same figure on the path way to the arena, pointing in my direction to the Alpha and i couldn't help but mutter curses. He was the reason I would be punished and thought of the previous beating had my legs shaking.
"Celine! The Alpha orders for your presence." Zica announced with a smile on his face. Right before I stepped into the chambers, I rolled my eyes at him. He was infuriating and I could only wish I was strong to give him a piece of my hand.
Stepping into the chambers, my eyes went directly to the throne, where Alpha Adrian was seated gracefully on the throne, alongside the same man from the arena. I wondered what they had discussed.
"Alpha." I lowered my head, waiting for a thunderous yell or atleast a statement filled with hate and disdain.
"Get up." Surprisingly, I was met with a calm soothing reply. It was the first time Alpha Adrian was being calm and he had no sign of anger on his face. "I guess your lucky day is here. Alpha Magnus Otto Damien, leader of the Red Moon pack, has demanded to take you along with him." His announcement had me staring in disbelief, my eyes moving towards Alpha Magnus, whose stories I have heard a numerous times.
Many believed he was the devil himself as his ruthless act had never gone unnoticed. I imagined how I had bumped into such a man.
"First thing in the morning, you will get your things ready and leave." He stated further.
Freedom, that is all I could hear ringing through my head in that moment. I was going to be free from the agonies that I had faced in the hands of Alpha Adrian.
"Leave us." He declared. Right before I could leave, I made a last look at the Alpha and he seemed entirely not satisfied with his decision.
Upon getting back to the room, I punched the air in celebration, imagining getting myself through the boarders and finally out of the pack for good. A faint knock came through the door and for a moment I thought it was Alpha Adrian. I opened the door and it revealed Alpha Magnus, standing by the door with no visible emotions on his face.
"Like your Alpha has said, we leave by sunrise." He affirmed.
I knelt before him, holding his legs on appreciation as tears of hope pulled through my eyes.
"Thank you very much." I said, almost in tears.
He released his legs off my hand and seemed visible irritated by my tears. Once he was gone, I closed the door behind me, wondering if he had some sort of mood disorder. One minute he had no emotions written on his face, the other minutes, he was showing signs of rage.
'Do you think he would be nice to us?" Jedah asked, while I pack some of my clothes into my bag.
'I cannot answer that question, but I would rather walk through the face of hell than stay in the same pack with Alpha Adrian again.' I replied.
Indeed that was true, he never showed me mercy and despite his decision, the look on his face showed that he was beginning to regret it.
Suddenly, the door opened and once I turned around, Alpha Adrian was by the door with a whip in his hand. Fear crashed through my body as I saw anger visible resonating across his eyes. He closed the door behind him and placed the keys in his pocket.
"I warned you about going to the festival didn't I?" He asked stretching his whip in the process. "You seem to be very arrogant and because of your shrewd stubborn act, you have yourself taken away from me." He stated.
Right before I could say anything, I felt the tip of the whip crash down my left eye. I screamed in pain, holding up my eye in the process.
"Quiet!" He declared.
His wolf seemed to have taken over as his voice changed. It was evident that I may not make it before the next day. Right before he could raise the whip, the door burst open and a loud growl, shook the entire foundation. I looked past the standing frame of Alpha Adrian to behold a raging beast, whose claws had been stretched out pouring steam.
"Alpha Magnus, I don't understand why you are here." Alpha Adrian's voice, had a pint of fear to it as he speak and it was apparent that he was intimidated.
"Step aside." Alpha Magnus ordered, voice was deep, much deeper than Adrian's and it held so much authority as well. The huge frame of Alpha Adrian moved aside and I looked up to face Alpha Magnus. My eye had failed to open since the tip of the whip had landed on them, thus I held them with so much tender.
"How dare you touch what is mine?" Alpha Magnus asked, his stare directly at Adrian.
"You don't get to dictate for me. I understand we have traded successfully, however she is still my Omega and you are on my pack..." Adrian affirmed, standing his ground.
Like the speed of the wind, Alpha Magnus picks up Adrian with one arm by the neck, with an attempt to choke him to death.
"She is mine and mine alone." Alpha Magnus yelled out.
He threw Adrian across the side of the room and the impact caused me to stare in disbelief. It was rather much rare to see an Alpha handled in such manner. I turned around and the fiery eyes of Alpha Magnus softened a moment and he walked towards me, holding my hand away from my left eye. I hissed in pain and he growled once again.
"I am not leaving you here any longer, we leave right now." He declared. I shook my head in understanding and turned around to continue packing up. While folding more clothes into the bag, Alpha Magnus, drags Adrian's unconscious body out of the room, leaving me alone.
A new life await and I was anxious to know what it holds for me.
Celine's POV Plates clattered to the ground, the sound reverberating through the kitchen like an ominous drumbeat. The kettle hissed angrily, steam billowing from its spout, mirroring the turmoil churning in my stomach. Anxiety was a familiar companion, but today it surged with unprecedented force, threatening to overwhelm me.I had always harbored a sliver of hope that I could avoid moments like these, but deep down, I knew the inevitable tide of stress would wash over me eventually. My gaze lingered on the simmering pot of soup, silently beseeching the moon goddess for mercy. It was a late morning, the sun already high in the sky by the time I managed to drag myself out of bed. A quick glance at the wristwatch, a relic from my late mother, filled me with dread. If Alpha Adrian caught wind of my tardiness, I would surely face his wrath. As an Omega in the Silver Line pack, I was accustomed to bearing the blame for even the smallest mishaps. It was a burden I had grown accustomed to,
"Alpha, I am sorry." I pleaded, tears running down my face from the impact of the slaps. My cheeks sting in pain and I was certain they would be bruised, when I checked them."Zica, Oma." He yelled out and in a matter of minutes, two of the pack soldiers stepped in. He wasn't going to let it slide. "I want you to whip her so hard till I am satisfied." Alpha Adrian's instructed and this made me realize that it could be today I join my parents in their astral plane.I was made to lay down on the cold floor. I stared at the foot of the first soldier, who had a long whip on his left hand. The whip was made of leather and it's length sent fear across my body. "Begin." He ordered. I screamed my lungs out the moment the first whip came in contact with my skin. The impact was definitely going to leave a scar. All I could think of at that moment was death. I needed death to embrace me and take my soul away from the pain and agony.The next few minutes of my life was the most traumatic one;
Celine POVThe evening drew near, I felt a burst of energy hovering round my body, giving me a glimpse of what happiness felt for the first time in years. It felt totally new and made me curious as to why I was feeling this way. It was the festival of the moon goddess and also my birthday and just like every year, I was fully vested in the kitchen making the meals that would be served for the event. A day in the pack doctor's house had really brought good energy and uplifted my soul. It was apparent that it was all I needed. Upon returning back to the mansion, the Alpha had simply given instructions about the meals to be prepared.I sensed a presence behind me and upon turning around, it was Zica, one of the pack soldiers with a smirk on his face. While I had vowed never to carry hate around, he was one of the few persons I hated."I see you have learnt your lessons, judging from the aroma I perceive." He said sniffing with his eyes closed."Please I need to finish this off and get
Magnus POVWhile the strange maiden walked away, all I could think about was her beautiful face imprinted in my heart. Never has a maiden made me feel the way she had just done.Brian and the rest of the soldiers returned with a man, whom I presume was the pack doctor. Upon identifying who I was, he became stricken with visible fear. "Alpha." He said, lowering his head in sign of courtesy. He looked to be one of the few old members of the pack around."How are you able to know me?" I asked, completely curious."I was at the meeting a few months ago, where you gave the Alpha king a piece of your mind, regarding your territory, that is where I got to know the rumors were true." He revealed. At this stage of my life, I wasn't phased by petty rumors that had been spread about by people. I had finally come to terms with what they thought about me; the ruthless Alpha. I stretched out my arms and while he tended to the little wound I had gotten, my thoughts returned back to the young maid
