Chapter 9

ADELE P.O.V

The sound of the bell ringing across Wisconsin high school is every student's dream; everyone hurriedly rush to leave the school premises. I picked up my books and put them inside my bag, and was headed home. I don't know why I chose to follow the school alley, but I guess it was the fastest to the house. 

Still walking briskly, I heard the sound of foot steps and turned back only to see some group of guys also walking the same path with me. I couldn’t see their faces as they were all on hood but I had a bad feeling about how they weren’t thinking of walking past me but monitoring my pace. Once again, I turned around to see if they were still behind with few meters but yelped when I came face to face with one person I dreaded on seeing every day of my life. 

Raymond Stanley was my bully right from high school days. Hw would find every moment to bully me in school, outside school and now at the alley.&
