The idea of letting Caelan take her home made Jade nervous to the point of suffocation.

"That won't do," Kennedy objected. "You already came all this way to change my bandages. Having him drive you home is nothing."

Caelan showed no emotion, but his furrowed brows did not escape Jade's eyes. Deep down, he was reluctant.

"I have a meeting in 40 minutes," Caelan said matter-of-factly.

Jade immediately understood. It would take 30 minutes to take her home, so Caelan would give her only ten minutes to eat. Quite demanding of him…

"I'm done eating too," Jade replied hurriedly.

As they were about to leave, Kennedy felt a bit disappointed. He had wanted to chat more with the two of them. However, for his grandson's happiness, he decided to make a small sacrifice. Waving his hand, he said, "Alright, you two go ahead."

After bidding farewell to Kennedy, Jade and Caelan left the Fitzgeralds’ home.
