39- Family Reunion

Nic’s POV

We are on the way to Liam and Claire’s Alpha/Luna ceremony. And Grace won’t shut up.

“I mean, why do we need a sit down three course dinner. The guests want to mingle and hook up, not sit for hours eating cardboard food. Wouldn’t traveling hors d'oeuvres be better?”

“Grace, Mom just wants the traditional ceremony, why can’t you get on board?”

“Urrrrrr, she picks at everything. My dress is too short, it’s the wrong color, my choice of music is too brash, my song for us is completely inappropriate. It’s one week away and it’s all her, none of its us.”

“Grace, what of your ideas is us? It’s all you, you need to remember you are Luna, so our pack colors, a semi-modest dress, music that we can dance to, but not booty pop to, is called for. Why can’t you see that?”

“Don’t talk to me anymore.” Finally, silence!

We pull up to the packhouse and my brother is at the door waiting.

“Finally, a Wallace I like,” Grace says, getting out of the car and throwing her arms around Liam.
