Xander put on a sour face right away and murmured, “I’ll give myself a bath tonight, Uncle Marshall.”

Sarah understood immediately. “James, why won’t you let me give Xander a bath?”

James was carrying their purchases all by himself. “No way.”

There was no particular reason. He just did not like her touching any other boy, not even Xander.

Sarah stormed toward him and rebuked, “So you’re just gonna use a toy to make Xander bathe on his own because you don’t want me to do it?”

Feeling vexed, she threw a punch at James’ body.

She did it as hard as she could.

Carrying five bags with his hands, James could still hold his body steady. He made a small move to Sarah and murmured closely, “You’re a child too.”

After saying that, he felt off with what he just said. If Sarah was a child, that would leave a huge gap between the two of them. “What I mean is, you’re too young to take on a mother’s responsibility and bathe Xander. Let Nanny Jarvis or me do it.”
