Lily’s point of view

The warmth of the kitchen feels like home—baking bread, sweet tea, the faint scent of herbs in glass jars on the shelves.

The girl standing across from me is smiling, all freckles and messy brown hair, apron tied too loosely at the back. I know her. I don’t remember how I know her—but I do.

“I swear to the stars,” the girl laughs, brushing flour off her hands, “he looked at me once and I felt it everywhere. You know what I mean, right?”

I blink, still dizzy, trying to ground myself in her words.

“Felt what everywhere?” I manage to whisper, surprised that my voice works.

“The pull,” she says, rolling her eyes in mock annoyance. “Like—here’s your mate, but also—here’s someone else who makes your stomach flutter. Doesn’t that make me a terrible person?” She groans, dragging her hands down her face. “Gods, I feel like such a whore.”

I flinch at the word. Something in me recoils hard—like she’s just stepped on a landmine without knowing it.

But she just keeps

  • The executioner and the Alpha King   Chapter 170 - Hunted, Hungry, Home

Theo’s POV I’m a goddamn king, and here I am sneaking around my own castle like a thief. It’s pathetic, really. But I don’t care. Two weeks without Eva’s body pressed against mine, two weeks without that sharp tongue and sharp nails—I’m done being patient. I crack open my bedroom door just enough to see the hallway. Empty. Good. I start to move, barefoot, shirt half on, when a voice drifts up from the far end of the hall. “—it’s just weird, you know? Finding out you have a sister, and she’s Eva of all people—” Parker. And Elias. Of course. The two of them are standing near Parker’s door, deep in conversation. I step back, gently closing the door, grinding my teeth. This is humiliating. For the next fifteen minutes, I pace like a caged animal. Shirt off. Shirt on. Shirt off again. My wolf is pacing too, just as frustrated. It’s not even about sex anymore—it’s about her. It’s about needing to breathe next to her again. About needing to know she’s safe, to hear her heart

  • The executioner and the Alpha King   Chapter 169 - Hunger and Warnings

Eva’s POV I’m starving. It’s not that we didn’t eat on the road—Samantha packed food for us, and she’s actually a good cook—but it wasn’t enough. I underestimated just how much Elias can eat. The boy devours food like he’s been raised by wolves. Which, I guess, he technically has. What surprises me more is Sonia. She ate like two adults on her own. And I’m not exactly shy around a meal either. Samantha didn’t stand a chance. Now, my stomach feels like it’s folding in on itself, twisting like a knot. Hunger makes me irritable, and I don’t like being irritable. I prefer being dangerous on a full stomach. I glance around as we walk through the halls toward the dining room. Sonia’s in Michael’s arms, whispering something to him, her face soft for once. They look ridiculous together. Ridiculous and… adorable. I catch myself smiling. Trixie is walking just ahead, bumping Parker with her shoulder, teasing him. He tries to scowl but ends up smirking at her instead. That’s another on

  • The executioner and the Alpha King   Chapter 168 - Brotherly Introductions

Theo’s POV Jack’s lifeless body lies in the dirt, twisted at an odd angle, his mouth slightly open like he’s about to argue with me one last time. I should feel something—satisfaction, triumph, even relief—but all I feel is tired. At least this part of the mess is over. One enemy down. How many more to go? Footsteps crunch softly on the gravel. Eva circles Jack’s corpse like a lion circling prey that’s already dead, her expression carved from stone. Cold. Careful. Calculating. She’s not looking at the body, though. She’s watching me, studying me like she’s searching for wounds, scratches, hidden injuries I might not have noticed yet. “I’m fine,” I murmur, pulling her into my arms before she can overanalyze me into madness. “I’m more concerned about how you are.” She hugs me back, but her arms feel tense. “I’m Eva the Untouchable,” she says flatly. “Nothing gets me.” “Untouchable, my ass,” a familiar voice snorts from behind her. Eva twists slightly, half in my embrace, half turn

  • The executioner and the Alpha King   Chapter 167 - Daughters of Fire and Vengeance

Selene’s point of view I don’t remember how I got here. One minute I’m in the garden, laughing with my daughters like nothing is wrong, and the next— Screams. Now I stand in front of that stone chamber, shaking so badly I can barely keep my arms at my sides. The first girl they carried in looked so small, like a rag doll in Mason’s arms. I reached for her, but they pulled her away, gently but firmly. I don’t even know which one it was. Carol? Lily? They both have green eyes now. Both wearing the same pain, the same filth of that bastard’s magic still clinging to them like oil. The door closed. And then the screaming began. It isn’t human. It isn’t natural. I stand there like a ghost, clutching my own wrists, nails digging into skin. If I don’t hold on, I’ll fall apart completely. “They’re strong,” Zach murmurs beside me, trying to sound steady. “They’ll get through this.” But his voice is a whisper against the tidal wave of agony echoing from behind that door. I hear her—

  • The executioner and the Alpha King   Chapter 166 - The Rebirth of Fire

Lily’s point of view Silence presses around me like a coffin lid. The chamber is cold stone beneath my back. My arms won’t move. My throat tastes of metal, like I’ve swallowed knives. Above me, the pen and the sword hover in slow, steady circles—one promising mercy, the other promising judgment. Then the voice comes again—steady, ancient, merciless. “Who are you?” It echoes in my bones. I open my mouth but nothing comes out. Images flash behind my eyelids. Rope burns on pale wrists. The word WHORE carved into soft flesh. The sound of breath leaving a friend’s body. The girls in the woods. The shame, the filth, the ruin of who I was supposed to be. I want to scream. I want to die. But I’m still here. “Who are you?” the voice asks again, sharper this time. “Are you Carol? Or are you Lily?” My heart twists violently, confusion flooding every thought. Who am I? “I don’t know,” I whisper, shaking my head weakly. “I—I don’t know anymore.” “But you wore her face,” the voice remi
