Chapter 5

LOGAN'S POV

I was sitting confidently behind a dark, brown desk made of mahogany wood in a very fancy office, exuding an air of self-assured authority.

I knew people admired my strong, chiselled jawline and piercing, confident eyes.

Today, I dressed impeccably in a tailored suit that accentuated my broad shoulders and lean physique.

That's what Alphas should dress like. Suits that convey both power and sophistication.

Sitting across from me is my trusted friend and beta, Hunter.

Hunter asked me, "Dude, are you thinking of going back to the cross-river pack for your mate or what?"

"I'm confused as to why my mate was bullied for not having her wolf.

Despite this, I felt her strong power and the information I have here says She is also a warrior and an excellent fighter.

Yet they claim she has no wolf - although I sensed otherwise and I feel she may be hiding something.

I strongly believe she is an Alpha," I said to Hunter.

"To get to know her, you need to get close to her.

Remember to treat her well and show her love when we visit their pack again.

You cannot run away from her because she has no wolf, she is your mate and you have to make the time to get to know her."

Hunter advised.

He is right, I have to know her well.

Ever since I returned from the Cross River Pack, I haven't been myself.

The thought of my mate has taken over all my sense of reasoning.

I have a heap of files to attend to, but here I am thinking about a girl I don't even know.

After Hunter left, I wanted to concentrate on my work, but I found myself constantly distracted by thoughts of my mate.

I heard a knock on my door and I already knew who it was, because I could smell her from here, "Come in Freya"

"Hi babe"

"Alpha, Freya, I am your alpha, not your babe."

"We are alone! So what is wrong if I call you babe?"

She walked to my side seductively.

I could smell her arousal from a distance and this made my dick hard even before she touch me.

I knew that's because I hadn't touched myself for a long time. I've been too busy.

She pushed my chair backwards so that she could position herself between my legs.

She sat on me and started playing with my nipples and kissing my neck at the same time.

While she was sucking me, I was imagining, it was my beloved mate.

I would only show my passion to someone I love. Freya not included.

"You are an asshole logan," my wolf said in my head.

"Don't tell me you are not enjoying it?" I asked Sabastine my wolf.

"I don't need these sluts, I want to be buried inside our mate not your pack whore.

I pushed him to the back of my head otherwise he would end up ruining the moment.

I put her on my desk, dropping some files on the floor but I didn't care.

I buried my big manhood in her and I saw the satisfaction on her face.

I pounded into her till I came. I know what I did is wrong but that's what I need at the moment.

"Alpha, can you please drive me to the mall?" Freya asked me after she was satisfied.

Freya has been my friend since our teenage years, and she has helped me in many ways.

She is someone I cherish so I hardly say no to her. For now, we are just using each other.

I believe she knows that whatever sexual relationship we have, there is nothing more attached to it.

"Alright, wait for me outside. I will be with you in a few minutes," I replied.

Hunter barged into the office right after she left.

"Don't tell me you are still sleeping with Freya even after you've found your mate?" Hunter warned me.

"You are going to regret your actions if you don't put a stop to your numerous affairs." he furiously poured out his thoughts.

"Freya is aware I have a mate out there, and what we have between us is only friendship, nothing more," I told him, calmly.

"Are you sure that's what she is thinking, have you forgotten what happened to your parent so soon?" He asked me reminding me of a past I don't want to remember.

"Logan, don't wait until your flings destroy your relationship with your mate," He said to me again. 

I couldn't understand why he was so worried at that moment. 

When we got to the mall, Freya was all over me.

Thinking of what Hunter said, I warned her to watch it.

I tried to keep distant from her but she wouldn't let me. What did I get myself into and why is she so clingy today?

I decided not to pay attention to her, we were shopping outside our pack and no one around knew me. So I decided to let her do whatever she wanted to do.

My wolf Sebastien wouldn't stop arguing with me, " I told you to stay away from this girl but you wouldn't listen, now she is behaving as if she is our mate."

"Mine!" Sebastian said in my head, "Our mate is here! Talk to our mate!"

The beautiful scent of my mate hit my nose and I turned my head to look at the direction the scent was coming from but before I could say jack, Freya ran into my arms and began to kiss me.

Ooh boy, I pray to the mood goddess not to allow my mate to see this.

the moment I looked in the direction her scent was coming from, the most beautiful girl I'd ever set my eyes on was standing there with a sad look on her face.

Damn, I realised I've messed up big time.

She is beautiful to the extent that I don't know how to describe her.

"Go to mate logan, go and talk to her!" My wolf was encouraging me to go and talk to her but the look on her face broke my heart.

I couldn't move or say a word.

What have I done? I could feel her anger and her strong Aura.

I have not felt this strong power of any wolf for a long time and I can say that my mate is not wolfless as everyone thinks.

"Sabastian, does our mate have a wolf?"

"yes, I think she has."

This even made it more confusing.

"Mate! Mate! Let's go to mate!" Sebastian was making everything difficult.

He started wagging his tail when we watched our mate and the two people she came with walk away.

But I couldn't approach my mate because of guilt.

I pushed Freya away from myself, " I asked you to behave yourself, is this why you asked me to drive you here? To prove to everyone that am sleeping with you?"

Freya only looked at me with her round eyes, trying to let me pity her. 

I ignored her, "Keep this in your head, it is only a sexual relationship and nothing more. So don't try to pretend to be my girlfriend because I am not your boyfriend!"

I walked out of the shop, in anger.

I know she brought me here to buy a few things for her in exchange for the sexual intercourse we had earlier.

But I didn't know this would create a potential problem for me on the first day of meeting my mate.

I felt the mate bond, I felt her emotions, she was hurt.

I drove to my pack.

I called my beta and I narrated everything to him, I know his first reaction would have been, I told you to stay away from her. But he didn't say a word.

His reply was "Go and look for your mate logan."

I was feeling helpless since I entered the pack territory, which I guess is because I was far from my mate.

I then officially announced to my pack that I was travelling to my maternal pack.

Everyone was happy for me, I've not travelled to a different pack in years except for the secret visits I do pay some Alphas I respect.

Now, I just wanted to see my mate again. As soon as possible.
