Chapter 11

Theresa's lips curved into a smile.

She thought the conversation between Vincent and Shirley was stupid.

So, she gave up. Then, she remembered that she would be returning to Los Angeles in two days.

Theresa's mentor, the renowned jewelry designer Alari Kemoton, was going to hold a small dinner party in Los Angeles two days later. At the party, he would showcase his latest works.

Theresa and Alari hadn't seen each other for over three years. She didn't want to look haggard after her divorce.

So Theresa quickly took off her headphones and went to sleep.

 

Shirley was unaware of it. She thought that she could soon get rid of Theresa and went to bed happily.

The next day, Shirley turned over in bed and dialed the home phone. She lazily told the maid, "I'm going to take a bath, get the water ready for me. And get some rose petals from the garden and put them in the bathtub. I'm going to have a flower bath."
