Chapter 258
Davyna's POV
I'm sad to leave, but excited to see how the packlands at Midnight Moon are, and spend some quality time with Caleb. He crashed here at the mansion last night with Vincent and I, after showing him exactly what had happened to me this week concerning my vampire awakening. It went over well, I managed to stay in control and Caleb seemed more exited knowing that my wolf would be making herself known sooner rather then later. I've kept myself busy this morning while the boys have been out. Caleb went back to the compound to grab his things to come pick me up later, and Vincent said he was going to work outside in the backyard, as some of the stone path and flowerbeds took some damage while him and I were training this week. I've washed and dried my clothes, and packedmost of my bags up so they are ready to go. Davyna's POV "How far are your packlands, Caleb?" I ask as I look out the window of the passenger side of the car."Midnight Moon is about 2 hours in the opposite direction of the compound, so we've still got a bit of a drive ahead of us.""Well. Caleb's POV l inhale deeply as I walk with Davyna, her hand in mine, down the rocky path near the lake by my home. I can't believe she's here. The midday sun is shining over the lake as we stop near the edge. Davyna lets go of my hand and sits on the small bank."The water is beautiful. It's so clear, it looks like glass." Davyna's POV I hold onto Caleb's hand tightly as we enter the large packhouse. I sigh as we enter into a room on the left side of the entranceway. "This is where the pack members can come for meals made by the kitchen staff-who also are all pack members. My grandmother, Grand Luna Amelia oversees everything here." look around the room and seescattered pack members sitting around and eating at the multiple tables that fill the room. There is a large banquet table alongside the large front wall across from us and the doorway that is filled with all sorts of food. Davyna's POV "Well it's off to a great start." I reply as I sit up and smile at him. He leans in and kisses me softly.It's now time for dinner. Caleb's POV I lay in bed, finally feeling more content after last night's ambush by Renee. I've got to give it to Davyna. She really is a powerhouse. Strong,not only in body, but in mind. Caleb's POV I hear Kaius howl in my head as I approach our mate, the hot water of the shower warming up the bathroom. She takes a step back and I smirk. It's been a bit of an adjustment hearing her in my mind, but it's comforting to have her input on a lot of things now.
