Chapter 3 - Bhakti

1 year later…

I have always wanted to be a Marine. My parents found out that they were mates, made friends from packs all over the country, and had some of their favorite stories and adventures during their time in the Marines. They had always told me and my siblings how much they loved their time there. It was the main reason that I wanted to go into the military. It is the branch that most weres go into because of our extensive strength, along with our combat and healing abilities.

At the same time, I want to work in the field of medicine. Typically, the Marines don’t train medics. We work with Navy Corpsmen, who become sort of honorary Marines. They are the ones that care for Marines in the field. To become a Marine, I can’t be a medic, and vice versa.

But we wolves are in a unique position. We can’t have others knowing who and what we are. And my time in the Corps coordinated with an auspicious time for what I wanted to do. There was a shortage of wolves that wanted to
