Her emotions were already in turbulence and when Nancy provoked her, she couldn’t hold it in and lashed out at him.

She knew she was in the wrong, but she was too proud to admit it.

Liam gazed at her tiny face, which looked like she would cry any minute, causing a wave of panic over him.

Frustrated, he raked his fingers through his hair and explained. “Idiot, the only woman I’ve touched is you, and you alone. You know about my illness but still are suspicious about me. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? The only woman I’ve ever desired is you. Do you think I would stoop as low to admit it if I’ve slept with another woman?”

Nora sniffled and remained silent before replying shortly. “I hate you.” Saying that, she ran away embarrassedly.
