CHAPTER 10: THE PLAN

CALISTA'S POV

"You weren't in..." I stooped to remove the straps of my nightgown while my phone was placed on the bed.

"Yeah, babe. I went out to get you a cornetto. I know it's your morning's favorite." Severin's cool and sweet voice rang from the phone.

My cheeks pulled up in a pleasant smile, and my eyes revealed a warmth that only Severin deserved. "Okay. I'm waiting." I replied, dropping the night gown to the floor.

"Alright, baby. I love you." He confessed.

I giggled and nodded, forgetting he wouldn't see. "I love you more," I replied and ended the call.

Leaving the phone in bed, I walked toward the bathroom for a morning bath. I relaxed into the warm, scented water in the bathtub, closing my eyes to savor the rare silence around me.

Raviel had left.
