I slowly opened my eyes, and as I glanced around the room, I soon realized I was in my room and on my bed. The sun beamed towards me, and I quickly shielded my face. I rolled over a little and immediately halted as pain rocketed up and down my back and chest. I whined in pain as I braced my lower back.
Memories of the previous night flooded my mind—how Alpha Kade had rejected me and how I couldn’t reject him back because my body gave up from the pain of rejection and betrayal.
I broke down in tears, and I cuddled myself back to my bed. A few minutes later, I felt a warm hand on my head. I looked up to see Alpha Rowan looking down at me with a warm smile.
“Amelia, get up and take this. I looked over to his hands, and he was holding a bowl with some black mixture in it.
“What is that? I asked curiously.
“Let’s say it’s something for the pain. Once you drink it, you’ll be fine.
“Liar!” I muttered under my breath. There is nothing that can cure me of this heartbreak; I still feel crushed, humiliated, and betrayed.
“He rejected me, uncle. I finally started, and he humiliated me in front of everyone. Why does everyone hate me? I sobbed as he reached out to hug me, his warm body covering me. He patted my back gently.
I sobbed as more tears rolled down my cheeks. I was used to being bullied and humiliated by everyone in the pack, but nothing had prepared me for the pain of being rejected and humiliated by my mate.
Worst of all, he had chosen Isabella, my worst enemy; she always had a way of taking everything from me, and I was just supposed to let it be because her father saved me.
I knew a part of the reason Alpha Rozan was here to comfort me was because his daughter Isabella was the reason I was going through these pains.
“You will get over it soon.” Alpha Rozan finally said, before patting my back for the last time.
"Yes, I will.” I lied. I have always yearned for love and acceptance from the pack, but when I got only hatred and maltreatment in return, I thought that it was only my mate who would be able to give me the love and acceptance I always craved. But I got rejected and betrayed instead. Everyone in the Bloodmoon pack hates me; Alpha Rozan seems to be the only one who has a good heart here.
As I was about to tell him just how much I appreciated him, the door flung open, and Isabella made her way in with a few guards by her side. A smug grin appeared on her face as her eyes landed on me.
What was she doing here anyway? I expected her to be with Kade in the palace, kissing and gripping him tightly so no one could steal him from her.
She had always been wicked and heartless, but this time she went too far by making my mate reject me on my eighteenth birthday.
“Get her!” She commanded, and a couple of guards matched me and held my hands.
A slap resounded on my face as my eyes widened in shock. I expected her to hide in shame in the palace for stealing my mate, but it was the complete opposite.
What have I done to her?
“That was for last night! She started. How dare you call me pathetic? I had to share my father with you lowlife, and you dare call me pathetic. I rolled my eyes at her, whining like a child. She had always hit me and said all manner of stuff to me, but I called her pathetic once, and she couldn’t stand it.
“Don’t tell me you came all the way here because I called you pathetic. She laughed hysterically as she walked around the room majestically. Something in her laugh made my stomach rumble; it left an unsettling feeling in me.
"Oh, just wait and see what I have for you. I looked over to Alpha Rozan as my heart started to pound against my chest, but his eyes were turned away from me.
“They have arrived, Luna, one of the guards said as he walked in. The guards tightened their grip on me.
Luna? My heart pinched at me. How is she, Luna already? The silence that followed was suffocating before Isabelle broke the silence.
“How dare you speak to me like that?” She growled, slapped me again, and grabbed my hair.
“I had to put up with seeing you every day; my friends bullied me for allowing you to live here with us...
“Oh, Isabella, don’t lie! I cut her off. You were the bully; no one ever bullied you!
“I don’t have the time to argue with you.” She smiled as an evil grin appeared on her face.
“Drag her out! She commanded, and the guards pulled me off the bed, dragging me across the room as I screamed at Alpha Rozan to stop this madness. But he seems to be a part of this.
We soon reached outside, and my eyes landed on a black car with a lady and a man standing beside it. I wondered who they were.
“They will take you to your new owner. Isabelle said slowly behind me; she then quietly whispered into my ear.
“I can’t seem to keep you around here, not with Kade being your mate. Who knows, you might steal him away from me."
“Steal him away from you? I couldn’t believe how she had the audacity to say that to me. He was never yours! I replied to her. She chuckled loudly. The strangers made their way towards us.
“Is she Amelia White? The lady asked.
"Oh, yes, she is. Isabelle replied, My heart was beating frantically against my chest. I didn’t know what to expect. Are they going to take me away?
The lady eyed me from up to down before smiling. I felt sick to my stomach as fear came over me.
“I know we agreed on only seeing her today, but the Alpha ordered me to bring her along with me.
"Oh, Amelia, look at you! One Alpha is rejecting you, while another is paying hugely to have you. She laughs as she taunts me.
“Paying hugely? What do you mean by that?
“You have been sold to Alpha Damien! He is the Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack! And you, Amelia, are his bride.
As the words left her mouth, I felt like a knife had pierced through my heart. A mixture of fear, shock, betrayal, and anger filled my body.
What!
“I… I should’ve known. I whimpered softly. I was filled with disappointment. Nothing could have prepared me for this betrayal.Alpha Rozan had not come out of the house to see me before they forced me into the car. A part of me wishes he did; I wanted to see his face one last time to give him the opportunity to explain what was happening and not let me have any excuse to hate him.Even if Isabelle had become Luna, she couldn’t still sell me off without Alpha Rozan agreeing to it. It just didn’t make sense; nothing about all this makes sense to me.For six good years, Alpha Rozan had been my father and my mother. I was just twelve years old when he took me in. Isabelle didn't like the idea of sharing her father with me, but she was cool with it till we turned fifteen, and she suddenly started bullying me in the morning. I had endured all the abuse and insults she threw at me because I didn’t want to disappoint Alpha Rozan by hitting her or cursing at her back. But why would Alpha Rozan
Remember all that I told you: do not disrespect the Alpha; don’t ask questions; and answer only the questions you were asked. She spoke softly, as though she were speaking to a child. The door opened, and she stepped out first. I glanced around, trying to study where we were. The Silverwood pack looks nothing like the Bloodmoon pack. There wasn’t a single thing that made them alike.Even though life in the Bloodmoon Pack had been hell for me, I would choose it over this place a million times. The environment at the Bloodmoon Pack is welcoming and cheerful, even though the people there aren’t welcoming or peaceful. While here, it feels so cold and lifeless; a sense of unfamiliarity washes through me, and I really don’t like how it made me feel.I walked slowly out of the car. I stood in front of them as Beta turned off the engine. I knew just what I had to do.My instincts kicked in, and I started to run back to where we had just come from. I had occasionally stared outside the window
We soon arrived inside the Silvermoon pack. Mrs. Rosa was pancing and panicking in the room as we walked in. Her eyes landed on me, and she rushed to meet us.“Don’t you dare run away from here again! Do you hear me?” I nodded my head gently. Now let’s go meet the Alpha; he has been expecting you. Mrs. Rosa spoke slowly. My heart started to beat against my chest again as we made her go over to him.We soon arrived in front of a room, and Mrs. Rosa knocked gently two times.Come in! A deep voice called out from the room. Fear gripped me, and my palms grew sweaty. I robbed time gently against my dress.Mrs. Rosa walked in, and I followed her closely. The smell of musk filled the room, and it reminded me of Alpha Rozan. I didn’t really want to remember him.The Alpha eyes landed on me; his son had a striking resemblance to him; they looked so much alike; the only difference was that Alpha Damien was more well built.“Get her out of my sight; I don’t want to see her today! His deep voice
Amelia’s POV“I, Alpha Kade of the Bloodmoon Pack, reject you, Amelia White, as my mate, and Luna of the Bloodmoon Pack!”My knees gave way as I fell to the ground; pain as hot as lava ran through my body, leaving me breathless for a few seconds.“I can’t accept a weak, lowly Omega as my mate!” His voice roared as my body shook in pain. I looked up slowly at Alpha Kade’s eyes; his eyes, as green as the forest, held no emotion in them; it made me feel worthless. My heart pounded against my chest violently; it felt like a confident elephant was lying on me. The pain of the rejection feels like boiling hot pins were being pressed slowly into every cell and muscle in my body. My body felt like it was slowly dying.“What…? I finally struggled to utter, my eyes welling with tears, trying to fight their way down. I was trembling with fear and confusion.“Amelia White! You heard me clearly, and I do not need to say it a million times before you get it into your skull that you cannot be my Mat
