Chapter 15 She Knows Everything

Josephine was carrying his baby, but in his eyes, she was still the child who loved watching cartoons.

Lewis seemed to sense something and turned to look at her.

“You don’t like it?” He reached out and touched her face, his fingertips wiping the corners of her eyes.

Josephine came back to her senses, managed a smile, and nodded. “I like it,” she signed.

She quickly turned back to the TV and touched her cheek, feeling a cold stream of liquid.

Lewis’ phone rang every ten minutes.

After two episodes, he decided to pick up the call.

Sierra’s voice came from the phone. “Where are you?”

“Home.”

His response silenced her. The word “home” sounded so ironic, and it was like a thorn stuck in her heart.

“So, you’re at home. Then what about my place? Is it a hotel?” Sierra’s voice was a bit choked up. God knew how jealous and angry she felt every time she heard him say he was at home.
