Chapter 19 You Can’t Wear This Out

“Come back” were the only two words he sent.

Josephine’s heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Avery, who was still immersed in joy, and silently put her phone back in her pocket.

Avery threw an arm over her shoulder and said with a smile, “You see, Josie, you can also make money on your own. You can raise your own baby, so why do you need that scumbag?”

Josephine smiled and raised her hand to gesture, "Avery, I should go back now."

"Why go back? Let's have dinner together tonight and celebrate."

Josephine waved her hand and touched her belly. "I need to go back and take medicine."

"Oh right, I forgot about that. Your pregnancy is still unstable now. Let me send you back. We can celebrate after the contract is signed."
