She didn't finish the whole story so as to keep Noah in suspense.

My parents planned to marry me off to an old bachelor for 70,000 dollars. I only mentioned it to Barrel, but I didn't expect him to tell Shay about it.

"You think too much. I broke up with your brother because he was seeing some other women while we were together. Whether I get married or not has nothing to do with you." I smiled.

"Are you angry?" Shay tilted her head to look at me, the very picture of a phony. "I'm just concerned about you. After all, you taught me for a long time when my brother made you my tutor."

Noah couldn't stand it anymore. He frowned and said, "Shay, can you go now? I'd like to talk to my girlfriend. You're an eyesore to me."

Shay stared at him with wide eyes, and her smile froze.

Seeing that she did not respond, Noah lost his patience. He took my hand and led me straight down from the stand to a row of chairs at the edge of the court. There were a few reserves sitting there, as well a
