Chapter 11

Matthew kept glancing at the time. When he finally heard footsteps coming down the stairs, he looked up and was stunned.

He smiled as he watched her slowly walk down the stairs. His wife was breathtaking! In the one-shoulder gown, one side of Lucy’s shoulder and collarbone was exposed.

Above her collarbone were a pair of crystal drop earrings that twinkled like a million stars.

On one of her shoulders was a white crystal shoulder pad embellished with gold tassels.

The bodice of the gown fit snugly around her curves, and the pleats at the waist flowed seamlessly into a voluminous ball gown.

The dress itself was also adorned with diamonds, making her sparkle.

Standing up, Matthew walked toward Lucy.

He chuckled when he sensed her nervousness. With a deep and mellow voice, he said, “Lulu, you look absolutely gorgeous!”

Blushing at what he said, Lucy lowered her head with a smile.

Matthew reached out to take her hand, a grin plastered across his face. “Let’s go crash this wedding.
