FLASHBACK SEQUENCE STARTS******Nikhil******After landing in my beloved country India I went towards home. Fortunately, dad had sent a car to pick me up. It was 4 in the morning and mom was surely going to scold me for being late. I had managed to prepone my interview and that's why I took the flight after the interview. The plan was I will reach home and sneak away to my room with Dad' s and Nirvana's help and Mom will not even know. The next morning I will lie that I had reached in the night only, and since mom sleeps very early, it means at 10, so she will not even know when did I even come. After I reached home, dad was already waiting for me at the door as I had texted him 10 minutes before.I took out my bags carefully and both of us went inside. Both of us entered and the room was dark and I was enveloped into a hug by none other than my brother Nirvana."Idiot, leave him. The mission

Nikhil*****************Looking at the confused and shocked faces of everyone it was quite obvious no one there was aware of this sudden agreement, not even the girl I was marrying. She wasn't herself and even at the time of pheras[holy rounds of fire] she looked disturbed, she had no idea what to do. For a moment I thought maybe someone will come and stop the shit I was going through but no one bothered. I had to help her to move during the pheras[holy rounds of fire]. With every round of the holy fire, it felt I was signing a contract, a contract of matrimony that didn't seem holy to me.The pheras[holy rounds of fire] were done and I was made to tie the nuptial thread around her neck, the thread that was about to bind together. This was the first time she looked at me with her teary eyes almost pleading to stop all this. I was helpless and I believed so was she. I had stopped in the mid, I didn't want to do this, for once I felt I was gather

Author******Nikhil's eyes lighted up as soon as he saw his grandma standing at the door. Shakuntala came and sat on the bed and when patted her lap, Nikhil like a three-year-old kept his head on her lap. She started caressing his hair lovingly. Nikhil for a while forgot all the mishappenings of his life and closed his eyes enjoying his grandmother's love.Shakuntala was waiting for him to speak up."Grandma." Nikhil broke the silence that was spread into the room for the last ten minutes just like she had anticipated."Yes, Nikky," Shakuntala called him from the nickname he never allowed anyone to call him except her."Everything is changed," he said. His dejected voice made Shankuntala uneasy."Hmmm.""I am scared.""Hmmm.""And worried too.""Hmmm." Irritated of his grandma's monotonous redundant answers he got up from her lap and sat in front of her. Looking sadly at her he asked, "Wha

Nikhil**********Sometimes your luck is so bad that all the mishappenings happen with you only. Right now I am the target of sheer bad luck.I was about to sleep when my phone rang and since it was from my assistant I had to pick it up. I was informed that things were going down the hill in my absence in London. I have lost the recent deal that I was striving to have from the last month. Only if I would have paid a little more attention.I went out to talk with Russell my assistant and listening to all that happened I got angry, not on him but myself. Already things were not going well in my personal life and now because of my stupidity and carelessness, I lost the deal as well. I had to hold some meetings with the clients and since I forgot they thought I wasn't interested and handed over the deal to someone else.Russell was trying to calm me down but I couldn't because of my failure. Failure is not bad, in fact, it only teaches

Anvi************"Nikky, if I get any complaints from her, I will beat you with my new Prada heels." Grandma scolded Nikhil, making everyone chuckle instead of Nikhil Arora, who gulped in fear hearing her."This moment needs to be recorded," said Nirvana before taking out his camera and making the video of the scared form of my husband while grandma was giving him instructions on how to treat me."Shanku, enough. It's my turn now," said Dad. I had thought he will hug him and say some words of affection. Like I had anticipated he did the same but with me and to Nikhil he gave strict instructions regarding me."Di, are you sure you were born in our house?" Arpit questioned."Why?""Because I feel you have always been an Arora." I agreed to Arpit as they all love me like their own. Everyone was sad not because their son was leaving them but because their newly found daughter was leaving. I felt bad for Nikhil and decide
