《Alpha's Destiny》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

“Jake's father, Alpha Alex, was my good friend. That was before he was gripped by his mental illness. I am not from this pack, you see. I belong to Rockdale pack, my brother is the Alpha.”Destiny was surprised, “so you are an.....?”“Yes I am an Alpha, but I was never interested in being a leader. I like being a doctor.” He smiled.“Now coming back to our story, There is a mental illness that sometimes affects our kind. Something like Schizophrenia. Wolves call it moon sickness, as it manifests during the full moon. It's very rare, but it happens, there are barely four or five cases in the the the last 100 years.  Usually, such cases are taken care of by the pack. The sick wares are either locked up during their crazy phase or occasionally they can be killed in case it's out of control. There has never been a case in all of our recorded history of an alpha getting it. That's why people refused to

Destiny felt her arm being grabbed, and she was yanked into a desolated corridor. “What were you thinking? I told you to stay away from Rodney !” Jake growled.Destiny blinked, fighting back the stubborn tears that seemed intent on betraying her. Jake stared at her, a mixture of emotions swirled on his handsome face as he tried to read her thoughts. She glared at him. “Why are you trying to get into my thoughts?” She snapped at him.His face darkened. Darn it. He looked so handsome. She could feel a lump pitted in her throat.“I am your Alpha, I am entitled to read your thoughts.”Destiny swallowed deliberately. She just didn't get it. “Why? Why do you care whom I am kissing or even sleeping with ?”“Because it's Rodney!”  Jake said through gritted teeth. I wanted to make sure that you're OK,” he replied, his ha

Sam got a surprise of his life when he saw Jake running towards him. He was still in his jeans and a black shirt. The ceremony was in a few hours.     “Why aren't you dressed yet…,” Sam started to say. Until he saw the look on his face.     “There will be an attack, call all the warriors and gather them in the hall. Deploy extra security at all the checkpoints. Where is Rodney? I asked you to keep an eye on him.”      Sam and Serra stood in shock for a moment. It made no sense. They had no such inkling.     “How do you know there would be an attack? Who would be stupid enough to do that?” Sam said.     “Just do what I say !” Jake said.     Preparing for an attack just before a wedding was going to be difficult. The compound was full of people, both

Jake was searching for Destiny. He hoped that now that the ceremony was cancelled she would've run to him instead of running off, but he also felt like now was the time to act. He moved through the crowd, wishing he'd been closer to the tree line. The visiting Alphas and guests were being managed by, Sam, who took over for Jake and told everyone to head outside. The flux of people moving made it impossible for Jake to squeeze out.“Jake wait.” Serra's voice carried over the crowd. He didn't stop. Whatever advice Serra wanted to give, he didn't need it. Finally, the sea of people moved enough that Jake found himself in the woods. He spotted the shredded red dress and knew Destiny had shifted right away. He didn't bother taking his clothes off either as he turned into his wolf. He could smell her and took off on her trail, hoping she wasn't travelling too fast for him to catch up.Likewise, he knew the paths she preferred to run, since the only time he

As Destiny walked to the gym, she could feel several pairs of eyes, boring into her. She pushed further the cap of her hoodie, trying her best not to draw any attention. But that wasn't helping. Roxy and her other friends stopped whatever they were doing and stared at her when she walked in.“Stop staring at me,” Destiny snapped at them as she sat down on the bench to get ready for her sparring.“Well, we can't help it. Everyone is talking about you.” Roxy shrugged. “Did you have a vision?” Lauren asked. “Can you see the future?”  Roxy asked another question. Her friends bombarded her with a series of questions.  “It's not like that, I am not a fortune-teller. It's not in my control, it was the first time I saw anything like that......” Destiny explained and zipped up her sparring jacket. She wasn't able t
