《The CEO》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

"You have a question." My boss speaks up, I look up at him like a deer caught in headlights. For a few minutes we just looked at the ocean in silence then he called for someone to bring blankets and cushions and a speaker up here, then we just ate in silence but my mind has been running around like crazy."It's probably inappropriate." I brush it off taking some more fried chicken and rice into my mouth."You can ask me anything, and I'll be the judge of it." He states, taking a sip of his water.I take in a deep breath, "Why do you hate your father?" I ask upfront, he visibly tenses.Maybe I shouldn't have asked, "You don't have to answer the question." I add nervously but deep down I really want to know."You know I was eighteen when I took over the business, it wasn't supposed to be my duty but rather my older brother." He starts off.Jason Grey. I've only ever seen one picture of him and that was when it was said he was to take over until there was n

"Should we leave him like this?" I mumble referring to my boss laying in his king sized bed with black silk sheets. He still has his pants and dress shirt on, "The housekeeper would change him but she's asleep so I guess this will just suffice." Aaron shrugs, I nod then lean over Grey and place the sheets over his body.Apparently my boss, lives almost an hour away from where he works, I almost see why he made me drop him off at a hotel fifteen minutes away. That's a long drive home, even for him. I wouldn't say I was shocked when I saw a huge modern mansion in the middle of nowhere, a little scared? Yes, but shocked, no.The inside I just as big, I hardly doubt a lot of people live here but I know the housekeeper and Noelle are usually the only people here.I yawn and rub my eyes, "Maybe you should stay the night?" "Huh?" I mumble looking at the driver, she shakes his head."Mr Grey would insist that you stay the night, it's almost midnight and we have another hours' trip for you. H

"Whoa." Noelle and I laugh at Lucia's reaction to the 'Grey Manor' as she calls it.I can't blame her though, last time it was so dark I couldn't take the time to admire it and I was in a hurry to leave but now.I wonder if he done it himself. It's modern yet expensive but doesn't scream 'money!' when you see it. It's so many things in one but it lacks the homey feel, the touch of a woman."We're staying here for a week?!" Her excitement is honestly amusing."You should see the theatre room and game room." Noelle adds, if only she hadn't.Thank God it's Friday, if it had been a weekday, I know I'd struggle with her. Aaron appears from the top of the stairs and comes down."Jolene isn't here which explains why you are. I've put you're sister's bags in the room next to Noelle's. There are some instructions left in the kitchen, do's and don'ts and Noelle's allergy list." He lists, I nod."Thank you." He nods and leaves, when I turn back I see two puppy dog faces staring at me.Sighing, I

TrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrTrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrTrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrI groan and open my eyes slowly, I can feel all the crust breaking apart as I do so.Sitting up I take the phone and bring it to my ear, "Rosaleigh." I grumble, the line is silent."What's wrong?" My eyes widen at the voice on the other side, and widen even further at the concern it's laced in.I look down at my watch, it's quarter to three which means I just fell asleep."What makes you think something is wrong?" I ask, there is shuffling on the other side before he answers."You left with that Julio boy for an hour and now Nicholas claims that your mood has completely changed." He states. So they know each other.I stand up and make head for the connected bathroom, "How does that concern either of you? With all due respect." I ask, my eyes fall unto the mirror which reflect me right now."Damn." I whisper lowly to myself, my hair looks like it's been through some electromagnetic waves, mascara taints my cheeks with

Sh*t, I'm late.Jumping out of bed I stumble on my feet and I'm out of the room and in the bathroom in under a minute. How come my alarm didn't ring? Or anyone bother to wake me up?I don't think I've ever taken a shower that quick, I'm out of there in under ten minutes. I quickly brush my teeth, apply dry shampoo to my hair and brush it out.In the room, I search for my phone and when I find it I realize that the battery is finished but the iPhone still has enough battery, my alarm had just been cancelled.I quickly get dressed and cake my face in make-up to hide my exhaustion, I send a quick text to Aaron asking for him to please come and pick me up.For once in my life, I'm out of a house in under thirty minutes, of course I didn't make the bed or eat breakfast but I'll be making it before ten.Relaxing slightly, I take out my phone and dial Nic's number. It rings twice,"Morning sleeping beauty." I smile slightly."Not funny. I know I'm running late but please tell me you attended
