Chapter 13

Bellona PovIt was the next day, and I just finished dressing up. Now it is time to see Silver. I teleported to his ward, but he was not on the bed. He came out of the door, holding a walking stick. He looks so sick and pale. His lips are dry and he is wearing a closed blue shirt and trousers. I didn’t know that a vampire bite could be so deadly. He doesn’t look like he is healing and the bandage is still on his neck. I went to him and helped him to the bed. He rested his back on the wall, breathing out. “Why didn’t you get someone to help you?” I asked. He looked at me for a split second, then he looked at the wall. “I am not a child,” he said. I breathe out.“Have you eaten?” I asked. “No,” he replied, his answer short and forward.“What would you like to eat?” I asked. “The nurses are bringing me food,” he said. Oh, that’s good then. “How are you feeling?” I asked. He looked at me. “Why do you care?” he asked, his face blank. “I care because you are my Beta King and also par

Chapter 14

Bellona PovIt has been 1 week since finding out Silver almost became a vampire. He was asleep for like three days. He woke up like 4 days ago, but I have been avoiding him since then. The good thing is that his skin has gone back to normal and his neck is now partially healed. I am happy about his speedy recovery, however; I am nervous about when we meet each other. When he was still passed out, I saw the mate mark, which is my wolf and I know when he sees me, our bond is going to be enhanced. It will just be like before. I don’t know what to do. Now that we are officially mates, what I was feeling before will be enhanced, the sparks, bond, and I can never resist him. Knowing I just potentially destroyed a mate bond, ruined the future of two innocent pups, has me bothered. I feel so bad, like the most wicked person in the world to do such a thing to innocents. His feelings are also going to change. He will get possessive of me and I will not be able to hide my emotions. I have pl

Chapter 15

Bellona Pov“Hello mate,” Silver said, wrapped around my waist tightly. I gulped. It was suddenly like I was drenched in icy water. My heart was beating fast, and I had no control over it. I wanted to teleport out of the room but I know I am too confused and out of control for that and besides, I don’t think I can run away from him forever.“You had the guts to reject me and avoid me all these years, but when given the opportunity, you mark me without permission,” he said. I gulp, no words coming out of my mouth. He turned me around, but I avoided looking into his eyes.“Where is the sassy queen? And why are you avoiding my eyes?” he said. I rub my cold palms together, then I look up, licking my lips.“I did it for you,‘’ I said. He looked at me unbelievably.“You didn’t do it for me? You did it for yourself. What is the point of avoiding me all these years if you are going to mark me without my permission? I don’t even have my mate’s mark, ‘’ he exclaimed. I look at him, feeling betr

Chapter 16

Bellona Pov It has been one month since Silver and I had our fight, and everything has turned upside down. Silver doesn’t talk to me. He ignores me and when I try to make a conversation, he just walks out on me. The bond has been straining and I feel so lost and lonely. I suddenly became Silver, and he is now me. I now understand the looks he always gives me when I ignore him. This is how he felt all these years when I ignored him. The feeling is so horrible and I feel so guilty to have put him through this pain. The feeling of not being good enough, the feeling of someone you love and care for ignoring you, the feeling of the person you are ready to fight the world for not acknowledging your presence. I have been drowning in self pity and unexplainable guilt. Words can’t even explain how I feel. Training the faes has been going on nicely, they are catching up pretty fast and we have had no vampire attacks. Daniel has been worried about me. He is always asking what happened, but I

Chapter 17

Bellona PovBeep… Beep… The continuous and annoying beeping sound woke me up. I opened my eyes slowly and the first person I saw was Silver, who was looking down at me worriedly and relieved. “Wh.what happened?” I asked, my throat dry and my voice husky. Silver helped me up, and he took a bottle of water and helped me drink it. After helping me, he sat on the bed, staring at me.“What happened?” I asked, breathing out softly.“Vampires attacked you,” he said. I suddenly remembered what happened, those fuckers. They must have been planning it during their break. That is why they haven’t attacked us since. I wonder why I couldn’t smell them and it also seems they have been watching my movements because they attacked me when I was weak, but how come I didn’t notice them?“Oh” I said, nonchalantly. He looked at me unbelievably.“Oh? Just oh? You almost died and the sword only missed your heart by an inch,” he said, making hand gestures. I look at him. He seems worried.“You seem worried

Chapter 18

Bellona PovWe just got to the kingdom, and Silver and I have separated. He went to refreshen up while I teleport to the mother kingdom to get the boys. They were in the training field as usual and Archie saw me first as usual.“Mom!” he yelled, running to me. I smiled, just bending down to accept their embrace. I am still a bit weak and their force will just push all of us down.“Hey!” I said, hugging them tightly. “We miss you,” they said, together. I laughed. To them I was only gone for a few days after my last visit, but I haven’t seen them in like one month.“I miss you too,” I said, pulling back. “Are you here to get us?” Dean asked. “Yes, so pack your bags,” I said. “Okay!” Dean yelled excitedly, dragging Archie with him. I watched as they both ran off excitedly, their little feet moving so many miles per minute. I am just joking, but they ran fast. As my mother walked near me, I stood up.“Hey” I said. She sat down on the floor while I joined her.“So, you marked Silver,”

Chapter 19

Bellona PovI am currently in the kitchen cooking something for us. I don’t know if the boys will be hungry, but to be on the safer side, I am cooking us something. It’s already late, which means they will soon be back. I placed our food on the dining table; I was arranging the utensils, and that is when I heard the door opening. I left what I was doing and walked to the living room. The second mansion we built is the biggest in all the five mansions in the kingdom, and I'm living there. The pups and I are staying on the 4th floor. Our suite is enormous, but we don’t make use of most of the space. I am always busy with pack duties and after their teacher gives them prince lessons and also teaches them, when they are done with school, they either play together, take a nap, stay with me in my office or go to my mother. I got to the living room and Silver was carrying two passed out pups. “They are knocked off,” I said, looking at them. Their heads were on top of his shoulders and Silve

Chapter 20

Bellona PovSlight movements behind me and on top of me made me wake up, and I knew who it was.“Dean, Archie, let momma sleep,” I whine, hugging my pillow.“Mommy, wake up,” Archie said, dragging me, but I held on to my pillow tighter. No way am I going to allow them to wake me, not when I don’t feel like standing up. Besides, my pillow is so comfortable. Firm and warm.“Mommy,” Dean called, and they both started dragging me. I frowned, holding my pillow tight. Then suddenly I heard a deep manly chuckle, a chuckle that sent shivers down my spine, and I suddenly remembered that I didn’t sleep alone with the boy’s last night.“I didn’t know this is how you wake up every day,” Silver said, sounding amused, and I prayed in my mind, hoping he was not the pillow I was hugging. I slowly opened my eyes, and it left me disappointed as I wrapped my arms around him and our legs tangled up. I look up and he was looking down at me amused, talk about embarrassing. I quickly let go of him and arran

Chapter 21

Bellona PovWe are finally done eating, and I just finished dressing up. Silver left after eating and he seems like the doesn’t want to go, but he had to. After hugging the boys, of course, they also looked like they would miss his company. Well, soon everything will be alright. Dean and Archie are already having their lesson and I just left the mansion, heading to my office. Instead of teleporting, I walked, just to look around the pack. Everyone seemed happy to see me. They were greeting and bowing and I just smiled at them. I got to my office and Daniel, Axel, and Silver were there. Before I could get to them, Axel was already embracing me in a tight hug.“I never thought I would miss you this much,” he said, his arms wrapped around my neck. I could feel a pang of jealousy and anger coming from Silver, but it went quickly as it came. I laughed, hugging him back.“Are you sure you miss me or the fact you are no longer in charge of the kingdom?” I asked. He chuckled, then he pulled b

Chapter 22

Bellona PovIt has been two weeks since we came back and so far, so good. Things have been peaceful, and there have been no attacks. Silver has been bonding with both Dean and Archie and I can proudly say he is their new favorite person. They always look forward to their boys’ day out and I think it’s cute they get all hyper. Silver is an amazing father, and I didn’t expect less from him. He loves pups. Archie has not asked the big question. I don’t know if I should break the news to him myself and also unannounced or I should wait for him to get so curious to finally burst the question. I have to do one, but for now he is having fun, so I will just keep it to myself for a while. Another thing I noticed about Silver is he doesn’t enjoy going home. The beta king quarters is probably the most boring and quiet place to live. I always encourage him to go home and see his family, but anytime I say that, he ignores me. I appreciate him for seeing Archie and being an amazing father to him
