“Push!”. The doctor advised as Claire took in deep breaths before groaning loudly in pain. “We can see his head. One more time”Hot tears trickled down Claire’s cheeks as beaded sweats dripped down her face. She doesn’t think she can do this anymore. She was so tired. But she wasn’t going to give up. Wolfs don’t give up that easily. Her baby was going to come into this world. She vowed as she gave one last push and her little baby came out crying and wailing. The nurses placed the fragile creature on top a white towel as they brought the boy to his mother. “It’s a boy”. The nurse said in all smiles to Claire but Claire didn’t respond. No, rather she couldn’t because that last push had drained all her energy out from her as she’d breathed her last and her eyelids closed. Panicking, the nurses tried their best to wake her up but she was far gone. Outside the labour room, Brandon wolfs couldn’t stop pacing to and fro. He was excited and anxious at the same time. Chapter 3“Why did you kick her out like that?” Ryan, Alex cousin asked. He was in Russia because he heard Alex was preparing for a project and thought to check up on him. Alex looked up from the files he was scanning through. “I don’t want someone like her to be my personal assistant and beside Laura, my former assistant is on a business trip. She’s not dead. She’ll be back soon”Ryan heaved a heavy sigh. “I know. Just give her the job”“Why?”Alex questioned irked. “Why are you so fixated on her getting the job. If you so badly want her around, then take her for yourself ““She has a degree in electrical engineering. She’s exactly what your company needs. Hire her and trust me, you’ll not regret this”. Alex heaved a heavy sigh as he got up abruptly from his chair, flinged the door wide opened as rushed out of his office to catch up with Maya before she walked through the front door of the company. He hated to admit it but Ryan did have a point. “Where are you going on your first

Kylin Jenner, is a business woman who lives in high standards and she’s also close friends with Alex. She’d showed up in the Russia for an important project Wolfs company was hosting. As she made her dramatic entrance into Alex office, she flashed him a sweet, broad, smile waving flirtously as Alex spared her a short glance before turning back to his work. “Where is Maya?” Alex muttered under his breath. It wasn’t as though he was missing her presence or anything of the sort. No, he didn’t just want to be one in his office right now with Kylin. But since that was the case, he’d get down to business. Alex got up from his chair with the documents in his hands as he walked over to Kylin and dumped them in her hands. “You need to know all this for the project” .He said keeping it short. Kylin looked flabbergasted and hurt. “Is that all you have to say to me?”“Yes”. Just then Maya walked in and Alex couldn’t be more grateful. “Maya, I’m glad you are here. See Miss Jenner out”Maya loo

When Alex had stepped out of his office in rage, he’d gone to his mother’s grave, which also had his father and uncle’s tombstone beside it.He’d sworn once again to find Vladimir, who had killed his loved ones and make him pay in the cruelest way possible. As Alex left the cemetery not feeling the urge to go back to his office where he knew Maya would be, he went wherever his legs took him and unfortunately that led him to seeing two men dressed in black suits ganging up against Maya.He balled his fist, ready to pretend he didn’t see anything but stilled as the second man had hit the back of Maya’s head with a stick, rendering her unconscious. Now this was something he couldn’t stand. Even though, he himself was a ruthless person and was out for blood thirst revenge, he had a policy to never lay a finger on women and also he wasn’t going to stand any form of injustice meted out against them.“Are you sure she’s the girl though?” He heard the second man ask. “Yes, she’s Alex person

“I wont”. Alex says curtly as Maya scoffed in disbelief. “Why? Why won’t you change my post?”“I won’t need you anymore when Laura, my former personal assistant comes back. Do you get that?”Maya balled her fist as she ran outside the office heading to the female restroom to wash her bleeding hand. She wiped at her cheeks angrily as her tears threatened to roll down her cheeks. “Don’t cry because of him, Maya. You are better than this”. She chided herself, regaining her composure once more as she stepped out of the restroom and made her way back to the office. She had just merely walked few metres away from the restroom when she saw Micheal. “Maya”. He called out heading towards her as she instinctively hid her hands behind her back, flashing him her best smile. “Micheal, are you going somewhere?”“I was going to grab a cup of coffee, do you want to come along?”Maya subconsciously rubed her temple, exposing her injured hand. “Sorry but I’m tied up with wor-“. She was cut short
