《Alpha's Pup Mate》全部章節：第 161 章 - 第 170 章

Bailey's POVI spent the whole day in my room. It was getting late and dad brought me lunch. I guess he had told mum that he grounded me and gave another very plausible reason. I was hitting the books hard all day and sometimes I would stop to take a nap or play a few games on my phone. Dad hadn't grounded me in a long time and I had forgotten how lonely it was being grounded. I hated it.I looked up at the clock and saw that it was past 5:00pm. I looked out of the window and looked at the forest where dad, the wolves and I had chased Miguel. I wondered if he was alive and suddenly I began to doubt if he had told me the truth. The prophecy sounded bogus and untrue. Maybe he had just made it up to escape? What if he was planining that the whole time?I exhaled and shook the thought out of my head. The look in his eyes seemed so genuine this time. Maybe he was telling the truth. However, the only way that he could be justified is if we could find the mysterious gold and green adorned wol

Bailey's POV"The codex is a document that is sacred to those that protect the Sapphire. It is passed down in each generation. The Sapphire, as we all know, gives wolves incredible strength when they are near it but it also has some hidden powers that each Alpha discovers as they interract with the jewel. Zane has discovered the jewel's powers of prophecy, that is if it hasn't already been discovered.""You should really become a teacher.." said Katie as she stared at Tyler dreamily. Tyler had a melodic deep voice when he spoke and even I was lost in it's sonority as he spoke."Thanks. I will consider that, but bact the codex lesson," he said with a smile."The codex is now filled with the discoveries that each Alpah has made about the jewel. When the Alpha dies, he passes the codex down and this continues like so. I asked if Grey gave Zane the codex along with the Sapphire and the answer you gave was no. That means that the reason that Zane hasn't attcaked yet is becasue he is still d

Bailey's POVI looked at Grey as he stood at the door post. He wasn't so angry and he wasn't so happy either."Bailey, what was the meaning of that little stunt you pulled back there?"His voice was stern and his eyes were a little hard as well."I'm sorry," I said weakly. He didn't say anything to me, instead, he closed the door and sat beside me on the bed. There was a little space between us and I felt my heart sink. I knew he was angry with me too."'I'm sorry' isn't going to fix the trouble that you're in. I told you to stay away from discussions about the jewel. I told you that I and your father would handle it. But you barged into the council room and that Councilor Zeph took advantage of it to humiliate your dad. I won't lie to you Bailey, but I'm very disappointed in you.""I'm really sorry."I sobbed more and Grey still didn't say anything to me. He just stared at me as I cried my heart out. I managed to collect myself briefly."Where is dad?""Well, I have no idea but he is

Bailey's POVKatie stood up angrily and looked at me. she had tears in her eyes and her voice was hoarse and croaky."What did you do Bailey?!"I looked at her and was stunned. She had never yelled at me before. I was also really confused."What do you mean, 'what did i do'? I haven't done anything."my reply just made Katie even angrier."You know what you did!""Katie calm down. What happened? Where is Tyler?"I could see that Katie was boiling and she was not going to calm down."Tyler called me yesterday and told me that his dad said that you stormed their council meeting and brought up stuff about the codex. Now Tyler is being grounded because of you and that is why he isn't in school today!"I was taken aback by her words. I didn't mean to get Tyler in trouble."I'm...I'm...I'm sorry Katie."Katie scoffed with the tears in her eyes."Sorry? Sorry isn't going to unground Tyler. You just don't think when you do stuff, do you? Tyler and I called you back when we saw you rush back ho

Bailey's POVI woke up so miserable on Saturday. Friday was officially the worst day of my life. I had tried to call Katie and Tyler, all day on Friday but every attempt was futile. I even used the telephone in the kitchen and Katie picked up the phone, but as soon as she heard my voice, she cut the call on me.I tried the same with Tyler but he didn't pick either. I reckoned that Katie had told him that I would try to call with the telephone and that he shouldn't answer it. Mum even called Katie's mum and asked to speak with Katie but she said that Katie didn't want to speak with me.I was all groggy in bed and I didn't want to get up. Grey came by that evening but he saw that I was in a terrible mood. He even brought a carton of mango juice for me but I left it undrunk on my dressing table. I couldn't read and I didn't want to do anything at all. I had skipped dinner and when mum brought me breakfast in the morning, I told her that I wasn't hungry. I just wanted to be in bed and be a
