ALEXANDER'S POVWhen I got to my mother's place I had expected the worst to happen as usual. But to my greatest surprise, everything was normal even with my mom. I was ready to defend myself and my wife Helena if anything. I hurriedly got out of the car the moment my driver opened the door for me. I unbuttoned my suit and headed straight for the main door leading to her mansion, which was one of my dad's favorite glass houses located in the heart of the town. It had a sweet view just like the one in my office, a tiny lake meandering at the left corner with tiny little pebbles tracing each wing. It was a bit mid-morning-morning as chirps from the birds have not been done. I spotted a tiny bird that had yellow and black wings hopping up to get its daily meal. I smiled and took my eyes away focusing my attention on the direction I was headed. I pushed the doorbell and it chimed loudly inside. Soon her maid, Theresa, came to get the door. "Good morning Mr. Alex". She greeted me at t

ALEXANDER'S POVNo one told me being the CEO of a company as big as mine would be so hard to crack. Things had been going on so well before this crisis began to happen simultaneously as they had been planned for centuries. I was my mother's only son or should I say only child and it has been a hiring experience for me since growing up as a teenager. I have practically been groomed and raised to set the bar so high that I command respect from even the high and mighty. At age sixteen I was already mastering the art of winning and dining with prominent men in the society and by the time I was twenty years old, I had become so accustomed to the family business closing mega deals under almost no supervision. I made a name for myself and my family by breaking records upon records and bagging awards every single year. Yet in all those years of toiling and working I never for one second thought that those I had partnered with would betray me as much I have been betrayed right before my

ALEXANDER'S POVToday had been one of the worse days of my life. A public humiliation. Six Hundred Million dollars in seven short days was something I couldn't understand. If we had a problem then he should speak up to me instead of hurting his feelings and just popping up right in front of the board and other associates.I hurriedly walked back into my office even more angry than the way I had come out of it earlier after trying to teach things over with Sophia. It's funny how just a few hours ago I felt like the king that I had always imagined myself to be. Smiling in triumph that at least I would kick Sophia and her son out of my life for good in a few days and now I am sad. Soaked in my tears with humiliation from a man who has been with me for years.I mean what the fuck was Don Derego up to.I took off my jacket and paced my office left and right. I burned with anger. He was a rival. A sudden competitor who doesn't even hide the fact that he wants to see me crawl and beg him."N

HELENA'S POVI knew from the start that Alex and I would pull through all of these storms. This was a minor game and I was certain we would win at the end. Every day I wake up in this mansion and feel the need to help, stay and fight for what rightfully belongs to me. Sophia had no place and she is the obstacle I would start with. It's been Two days since Alex went for the appointment for the DNA test. He had given me detailed information about how the appointment went and how Sophia suddenly became uncomfortable around him. Even though I was sure that the child is t for Alex I still wanted to see the defeat on her face when we would all finally see the result. I wasn't going to back down on tracing her and revealing her schemes. Nevertheless, I told them to think of ways to track her moves secretly. It's 4:50 pm, the evening is night and the sun is beginning to diminish gradually. I sat in the garden scrolling through my phone. I searched a couple of tens on the internet for any in

ALEXANDER'S POV. I took a stroll out in the words. In the early hours of the evening at 6 pm. Walking and humming sweet lyrics to myself. The dry leaves ruffled under my feet as I crushed them through each step with my shoes. I had walked half a distance deep into the woods when I began to see shadows lurking behind the trees. At first, it was one but within the twinkle of my eye, I had been surrendered by armed men. I couldn't move at that point. I became suddenly cold in the feet as a bead of sweat began to form heavily on my face. "You can't run away from me" the. The voice spoke out deeply. Each word echoed till it faded completely into the night.Who are you?" I queried."You know who I am, '' the man responded behind his mask. He had a dark mask on. I could only see his red bloodshot eyes from the tiny opening of the mask. I knew he had a gun but the best way to fight a battle was to be on the offensive and so I pulled out my little behind me but before I could even pull th
