They went shopping the next day. All Mia had to do was tell Adrian and he gave a nod and told her to get good work clothes while shopping. She was surprised that he let her go so easily but she wisely kept her mouth shut. Amelia bought the things she needed while Mia bought some work clothes and thick sweaters and jackets because of the cold. Mia did not miss the way the woman at the counter looked at her twice when she brought the black card to pay and she did not miss the way the woman received it with trembling hands. It made her amused until she told Amelia who also asked to see the card. "Holy fuck". Amelia was looking at the black car in total astonishment, " where did you get it?" Now Mia's curiosity was piqued, " from Adrian. Why?". Amelia shook her head as she returned the card back, almost reluctantly. "Nothing". "Is there anything wrong with the card?". Mia asked with furrowed brows as she took back the card to tuck it into her pocket. "Maybe you sho

The room Mia woke up in was eerily cold and the bed was soft but she knew instantly that she was not in her room back at Adrian's house. She sat up groggily, her head aching like it had been slammed against the wall. Mia's eyes widened in horror as she took in her surroundings. She sat up quickly and jumped out of the bed, racing fast to the door but it was locked like she thought it would when she tried to open it. She fell there at the door, her body curling up in horror as she tried to think about how she got back to her old room at that man's house. She was supposed to be on her bed with Adriana's hand curled up around her or on her bed having hot wild sex with Adrian. Nothing came up in her brain as to how she got there, her whole body was shivering and It was like her brain had gone on lock down. She never wanted to come back to this room and that was why she was doing everything within her power not to but she still ended up here. She crawled back to the wall

Adrian was sitting on a chair close to Mia's hospital bed and watching her. His elbows were placed on his knees and his hands were cupping his face as he stared at her face which was already regaining color. Albeit too slow for his liking. After the first initial panic of discovering that her body was cold and she was not responding to his hug and was limo in his arms like a lifeless doll, he placed his hand to feel a pulse, when he saw that she was still alive, he immediately rushed her down to the hospital. According to the doctor, she would be fine as she was drugged. She only had to sleep it off, the drug was not harmful since she was given the right dose to put her to sleep. The hand imprint on her face was from someone hitting her and an ointment has been applied to wipe it off. No scar would be left. After seeing her appearance and hearing about how she was thrown out of a moving bus, Adrian did not know what to think anymore. Was she kidnapped? Did she run awa

Two days after Adrian gave her the freedom to leave her room and walk around the house including going to the office with him, Mia found the opportunity to go to his underground base with him. She had just stepped out of her room to go for a walk around the house to clear her head and think of a way out of her predicament when she met Adrian coming out of his room with Lucas. Both of them were dressed in black slacks and black button up shirts and there was a dangerous air around them. It was already late since Adrian worked an extra hour at work so she knew that they could only be going to one place dressed like that. A meeting with his mafia's patterns or his underground base. "Where are you going?". She asked him."You stay at home sweetheart, I'll be back soon". He leaned down to drop a kiss on her lips, surprising her. Since she got back he only touched her when he wanted to cuddle with her on the bed. Mia pressed her lips firmly against his and grabbed on the colla

"Boss, I think you need to check this out". Adrian was about to drop his phone when a new message popped in with a video attached to it. He clicked on it and within some seconds of watching it, his eye flicked to the woman that was lying on his sofa. "Mia". He called. "Hmm". She answered without sitting up. "Help me take this file and deliver it to the HR office". He tapped the files on his desk with his finger. Mia sat up quickly and gave him a strange look, "you are not commanding me to do it?". Adrian scowled at her words, " take this file and deliver it to the HR office". He rephrased his words. One minute they were in harmony and then the next, she was giving biting remarks to infuriate him. Mia stood up and approached his desk, "now this is the Mr Osiander I know" The scowl deepened, "shut up and do what I asked"."You are not asking, you are commanding". She gathered the files in her hands. " Where is the office?". "On the floor directly below ours"
