《ALPHA ZAYN'S DISTRUST》全部章節：第 71 章 - 第 80 章

MAISIE I still couldn't believe I was getting married. As time went on, I found my hopes waning as he started avoiding me. But a part of me, like a loyal wolf, clung to the belief that he would fulfill his promise. He was known for always keeping his word and owning up to his actions, no matter what. Perhaps he simply didn't care about others' opinions and only did what suited him because he answered no one but himself.Initially, I tried not to dwell on it, but it became apparent that I wasn't the only one noticing his distant behavior towards me. One day, even my son remarked on it during dinner."Mommy, why don't you and Daddy sleep in the same room?" My eyes widened as I nearly choked on my food, shocked by his unexpected observation. "Huh?”“My schoolmates said their parents sleep in the same room,” He remarked, "So why don't you two sleep in the same room? Are you two fighting?”“N-No, baby!” I immediately denied it, sending a look for help to Zayn who was calmly cutting his

MAISIEAfter what happened that night, I had been doing my best not to fall for Zayn's tricks again even though he was doing a pretty good job acting as a loving mate in front of my child and pack. I have no idea what he did to make them accept me but almost everyone had returned to their friendly attitudes once more. Well everyone, except Odessa and Evelyn. Those two had feigned their illness just to avoid attending the women's meeting and I didn't blame them, to be honest. Pack hierarchy was a very fragile social structure and it was very hard to adjust to sudden changes most of the time so I could just imagine how Odessa felt at the moment. I was also having a very difficult time performing the duties assigned to me as the future Luna of the pack. Which was pretty strange since I was the former Luna of the Moon Stone pack but I have never handled things like this on a large scale before. All my knowledge seemed somewhat inefficient and I found myself asking more questions than I

MAISIEAs we talked with the school director, I kept my eyes on Alexei who kept playing on the plush rug underneath him. Every sound around me eventually became muted as I watched my little wolf covered in silver-gray fur leap from one spot to another, twisting mid-air before it landed on the rug again, its little paws leaving faint imprints. The school director's frightened gasps did not go unnoticed after she witnessed the scene but my mate was doing a good job distracting her from the little ruckus our son was creating. My eyes twinkled with amusement watching his playful actions as my son rolled onto its back, legs flailing, and rubbed against the rug. When my mate couldn't take it anymore, he finally remarked, "Alright, that's enough. Your mother and I have been waiting for you to change so we can go to the amusement park. It's getting late, son."Before I could scold him for his harsh tone, a series of colors flashed from the corner of my eyes, and then, I saw Alexei in his huma

MAISIEI suppose holding the opening ceremony in the morning was a bad idea.Odessa stood in the middle of the frigid lake, her entire figure shivering as the pack priestess whispered the enchanting words of a purification ritual. I had once swarmed in a cold lake to avoid a group of leechers so I could imagine how she felt. The bone-piercing chill and numbing sensation that attacked one's body was truly an unforgettable pain, a hopeful reminder that she should never fuck with me or my son again. The water lay in front of our sights as the entire crowd of women gathered, its surface marbled with frost as time seemed to come to a standstill for the ceremony. Snowflakes drifted down on our padded jackets as we watched them from the water bank. The entire atmosphere was chilly so I rubbed my arms to ward off the cold when I saw the old woman finally perform the last stages of the ritual. Her breath materialized in the icy air as her teeth chattered harshly, "I-It's done. L-Let's proceed t

MAISIEAfter the opening ceremony of the nursery, Zayn and I decided to split ways to each of our separate workplaces. When I was about to enter another car, Odessa immediately hastened to my mate's car, sitting next to his driver's seat. It was not a big deal for an alpha to give his packmates a ride but it was hard to ignore Odessa's catwalk or smirk as she walked to the car. I knew people were watching us so I adopted a calm demeanor as I entered the car assigned to me. My wolf was not happy about my indifference but these events were only going to become more common so if I couldn't endure it now, how was I going to be able to survive in my marriage with Zayn? And it's not like we were even exclusive in the first place. Zayn had already made it clear that he was going to take a lover after we got married so that only meant there was a possibility he would even take her as his lover if he wanted.Tears of frustration pooled in my eyes when I thought about it. Although I kept tellin
