Andretti was sitting in his study, talking to his grandfather, the old man's 90th birthday was coming up in a week and the godfather was making sure he would be present for the celebration, Andretti was his favorite after all. They were discussing about the formalities for the birthday and he was concerned about how the shipping business will come on after Jimmy's death. A major priority for them now was to find and recruit another person to take over Jimmy's position, Andretti was assuring his grandfather that everything was under control when Lucia burst in. Thinking something was up, he ended the call immediately and rose to his feet, grabbed his firearm from the study table, he looked at the monitor where the CCTV cameras all over his building was connected to, he realized that nothing was wrong, the only noticeable thing was that two of his security guards were discussing in the garage, which was hardly an emergency , "Porco Cane!!, Lady you gave me such a fright!, what are you

Andretti Agnello sat in dimly lit office, sipping his glass of brandy, his mind wandered back to earlier in the day, to the moment that had been haunting him all day. He couldn't shake the memory of her lips touching his. He thought about the way her lips quivered as it drew closer to his, the way her hair fell in loose waves down her neck, he thought about the way his heart raced when she drew near, the way his palms grew sweaty with anticipation. The brief moments the kiss lasted he felt like... like a spark ignited, a flame that threatened to consume his whole, her lips were as soft as silk. Andretti's hand instinctively rose to his lips, as if tracing the outline of hers, he would have had her there and then if he didn't draw back. He was a man who didn't draw back from anything, but he knows he is a dark soul, a troubled man, his life isn't something he wants to bring her into. He feared his potential to hurt those he loved, his affection for her would make him vulnerable and s

Marcia had told him that Lucia wanted to see him, he tried avoiding her after the night they spent together, but this time she insisted on meeting him, he couldn't avoid her any longer without making it obvious, he told Marcia to bring her over to his study. He hoped she does not ask him what happened to those guys, he had Amato take care of them. Marcia walked in with Lucia, She looked as pretty as always "Hi", she said. "Hey", they avoided each other's eyes as they spoke, "I left because I ......". "I'm not here for that, I want to know when I can go home", she asked. "oh, hmmm.... is there something you need or...?", he asked, for some reason he didn't want her to leave, ironically as he was the one who suggested renting an apartment for me. "No, I thought about what you said the other day, and you may be right, this life may not be for me, I think I should just go back to my life, I definitely do not want to over stay my welcome". "I don't mind you staying here, I kno

"What do you mean, Andretti", His grandfather asked. Andretti had just blurted words out without thinking, like his grandfather said 'family first', there's no way he would give Lucia to the serpents if she is carrying his great grand child, his first for that matter. "There's no way that's true", Amato said. "I don't think you should doubt the prowess of Agnello men", Andretti said eyeing Amato, for some reason Amato seemed to be so against the whole thing. "You know I will figure out if you are lying Andretti", his grandfather said. "I would not lie about something like this", Andretti lied. "Hmphhh.....this makes everything a lot more complicated". "The serpents would not be happy with this", Amato said. "We just have to figure out how to appease them", Andretti said. "Maybe we can give them some of our territories", Amato suggested. "Hell, no, I have worked too hard to gain those territories to just give them out to the serpents, what are you talking about bro

Lucia still on the floor, thinking about Andretti's proposal with mixed emotions, she was uneasy. She never thought she would get married out of necessity, she had always fantasized about getting married to the love of her life, in the most romantic way possible but this... it felt like she was able to be trapped in a loveless marriage. She stood up, pacing up and down the room, restless, her eyes falls on the bouquet of lilies. He had somehow bought her favorite kind of flowers. At least he admitted he has feelings for her, and he has always been kind of her, but still marriage? But she actually has no choice, she definitely does not want to die or be given off to a Mafia gang, the only option is to marry him, just like he said. There has to be rules, she thought, yeah if she is going to marry him there has to be rules. She walked out of the room looking for Andretti, Andretti was in the kitchen giving instructions to Marcus, when he saw her, he stopped and asked Marcia to excu
