The moment Vera Susan stepped into the First Crystal Hotel, she radiated an air of unwavering confidence, her chin raised as though she owned the space. Her sapphire gown sparkled under the gentle illumination of the lobby lights, hugging her form and gracefully falling just above her knees, showcasing legs that seemed endless. Each stride in her black heels resonated with determination.Even with the simplicity of her three-quarter sleeves and the unembellished design, the outfit exuded elegance, much like the woman herself. Vera's hourglass figure and refined features drew attention, but it was the intensity in her gaze that caught eyes as she approached the engagement celebration of her ex-boyfriend and former best friend. The betrayal still lingered, yet this evening was not about sorrow; it was about vengeance. She intended to disrupt their engagement, regardless of the repercussions. As she navigated through the opulent lobby, Vera's pace hesitated briefly when she noticed a sma

Fidelis Aaron, the newly appointed CEO of Fidelis Crystal Corporation, the largest firm in the city, and rapidly emerging to become one of the country's leading corporations. At the age of thirty, he finally inherited control of the family enterprise. As he walked through the luxurious corridors of the First Crystal Hotel, which is owned by the corporation, he spotted a familiar blur heading toward the first-carat conference room.“Nourah!” he shouted, recognizing his lively niece, but the little girl was too swift, zooming past him with uncontainable energy.“Fidelis, please go after her! She’s upset because I didn’t buy her sweets!” His older sister, Lois, stood at the entrance, her hand resting on her pregnant belly. “You know I care about you—go!”Only three women in his life had the power to influence Fidelis: his mother, Ruth Aaron; his older sister, Lois Aaron; and his niece, Nourah. Several days went by, but Fidelis Aaron persisted in denying that he had reviewed Vera Susan's file.Despite not expressing any interest in Vera, he ended up arranging a visit to Georgia University, coinciding with the time when Vera had two morning classes.Fidelis, a computer engineer, completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies at the same institution, so he was well-versed in the field.Out of respect for his esteemed professor, Fidelis agreed to deliver a career presentation at the university's auditorium, also encouraging students to apply for positions at Fidelis Crystal Corporation. Given Fidelis's pursuit of computer studies, his father, Felix Aaron, had invested in computer program development. The presentation concluded in just an hour, and shortly after, Fidelis and his assistant, Brown James, left, apparently returning to the office. As they exited the auditorium, Brown found himself mulling over a curious detail: why hadn’t they parked directly outside the venu

"Finally, cater to any of his requirements. You will act as his assistant while you stay under his roof," Brown instructed.Vera bit her lip, a nervous habit she couldn't shake off. Noticing her uncertainty, he comforted her, "Don't worry. You are in good hands. The person you will support is Mr. Fidelis Aaron, the CEO of the Fidelis Crystal Corporation. He has a reputable and honorable standing."Vera felt a flutter of anxiety, her heart racing. "Will… will I be living alone with him?""Yes, but as I've stated, you will have your own private area," Brown reassured her.The mere thought sent chills down her spine. When she was with Bryan, he had proposed they cohabit, but she had always refused, fearing the complexities that would arise.Just as those memories resurfaced, she quickly pushed them aside, chiding herself inwardly. 'Why would the CEO of the Fidelis Crystal Corporation be interested in me? Dream on, Vera.'Yet, in spite of her fears, she recognized this was her best option
