The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silver glow over the sacred grove where I waited. My heart races as Ethan, the Alpha's son approached me. His footsteps were quiet, and my breath caught when his arms slipped around my waist. And for a moment, the world melted away.“You look beautiful tonight Lea”. He murmured, his lips brushing against my ear.I leaned into him, savouring the warmth of his touch,”You shouldn't be here Ethan,if someone catches us…”“Let them,” he interrupted, tilting my chin to meet his eyes. His amber eyes burned with a mixture of desire and determination. “After tonight,it won't matter. You'll be mine,Lea, permanently.”My cheeks flushed at his words,he leaned down capturing my lips in a kiss that made my world fade away. His hands traced the curve of my back, pulling me closer.“When the ceremony is over” Ethan whispers against my lips,” I will mark you. You will be my Luna,my equal”.My chest tightened with hope, this is the moment I had been waiting for, proof that

My eyes fluttered open,my body aching as though it had been wrung dry. Dim light bathed the stark stone walls around me. I lay on a simple bed,the linen coarse but warm. For a moment,I thought I was dreaming, until the cold reality of my journey came crashing back.My heart pounded as I sat up,my mind racing. The fortress was nothing like I had imagined. Stark stone walls, sparsely furnished spaces, and a deafening silence painted a picture of a life lived in solitude. This is Alexander's lair,a place as severe and unyielding as the man himself.I swung my legs over the side of the bed,my bare feet touching the icy floor. Anxiety gnawed at me,three days,I had been away for three days. Ethan didn't have much time left. I clutched at the keepsake around my neck, the token Alexander had given me seven years ago.I was sixteen then, wolfless, humiliated and broken. And still clinging to the hope that my wolf would awaken, when I stumbled upon Alexander in the woods. He had been wounded, his silv

The damp chill of the dungeon seeps into my bones, wrapping around me,suffocating me. I sat curled on the stone floor,my arms wrapped tightly around my knees as I stared into the darkness.“Please” I whispered into the darkness,” if you are there,if you are real,I need you “ i said reaching for my wolf. But no warmth came,no stirring of the wolf I so desperately wanted to connect with.I sighed, resigning myself to fate. The sound of footsteps echoed in the silent dungeon and I scrambled to my feet in fear. Ethan entered the dungeon, and I was relieved at the sight of him.Surely he might understand me now that we are alone. “Ethan,” I began,”You need to believe me.” I said my voice was trembling. “ I didn't poison you. I would never do that. My sister….“Enough.” He cuts me off,his tone cold. His eyes were devoid of the warmth or a hint of the love they had once held.“Ethan, please.” I pleaded, stepping closer to him, searching his eyes,” I went to the lycan king to get an antidote for y

The crowd dispersed soon after the fight, their murmurs filled with fear. Ethan carried Sophie away, but not without giving me a death glare. Some pack members whispered that I was cursed, others feared me as a threat. But I ignored them all.I stood at the edge of the training ground, trembling as the adrenaline drained from my body. My power hummed just beneath my skin, strange, but comforting. But beneath my victory over Sophie still lies one question gnawing at me. What had I become?.Alexander watched from afar, his golden eyes unreadable,he hadn't interfered in our fight, but his presence weighed heavily on everyone. As the rest of the pack drifted away,he approached me,his steps deliberate.“You've stirred the hive,Lea. Do you think they will simply accept what they've just seen? . He said calmly, yet his voice was laced with warning.I swallowed hard, meeting his gaze. “I don't care what they think. I proved myself already.”He tilted his head, his smirk faint, but sharp,” You just proved
