Manolya’s POV “You killed Capricorn,” she whispered, her long jaw curling into a twisted smile. “Yes,” I said without hesitation. “He was blocking my path… to you.” “I guess that makes sense,” she reasoned softly, tilting her head in slow contemplation. “Welcome home, Manolya. Here, you can rest.” Her smile widened, serene and terrifying. “It’s where your journey ends.” I smiled back. A small, empty smile. “I thought so… at first,” I began. “But…” I dragged out the word, letting it tremble on my tongue. “If I die here, who will protect Pelin?”. Pisces blinked slowly, her great crimson crest rippling like a heartbeat through the water. “Well, that is a fair question, Manolya,” she purred. Her long body curled around me in a lazy circle, her voice velvet and poisonous. “I’m so glad you asked.” Her face rose in front of mine, so monstrous and yet so terrifyingly elegant. “You can ask her to join us, of course,” she whispered. “So you won’t be lonely.”
