Semua Bab They Saved Me From Traffickers; I Returned the Favor in Blood: Bab 1 - Bab 10

After blowing out the candles on my eighteenth birthday cake, I picked up my phone and called the police. "Officer, my parents and brother are dead. I killed them."The police arrived quickly. Guns drawn, they kicked the door open. The moment they saw the scene, the lead officer's eyes filled with shock. My parents lay lifeless on the floor, their faces tinged purple. Meanwhile, my younger brother was slumped over the table. A slice of cake I'd given him sat in front of him.I looked at the officers and gave a faint smile. "You're finally here."They snapped out of their shock and aimed their guns at me."Hands on your head. Get down!"I did exactly as told. I watched as several forensic examiners stepped forward to check the bodies.A family of three. All dead."What were they to you?" another officer demanded.I smiled. "My parents and my younger brother."His eyes turned red instantly. He glared at me like he wanted to tear me apart. "You animal! Do you even understand wh

I let out a cold laugh, completely unfazed by her offer. "My brother was only eight. I killed him. How could that possibly reduce my sentence? Captain Larson, do I look like a kid to you? I already told you that there's nothing else to it. I was just running an experiment."The room fell into a tense silence. Everyone stared at me with open hostility.Kylie was the only one who remained expressionless. "Is that so?" she began. "I heard you were found and brought back last year. Did your parents treat you well?"A smile crept onto my face before I even realized it. "Of course. They kept finding new ways to cook me good food ever since I came back. If I had nightmares at night, they'd sit by my bed and comfort me while holding my hand the whole time."I started laughing as I spoke."Oh, right. My dad even transferred all his assets to my name. He said I'd suffered too much, and that he wanted to make sure I'd be taken care of."The moment I finished, several people in the room lo

The case seemed to hit a dead end. Kylie's eyes stayed fixed on my face as she studied me, as if weighing whether I was telling the truth. After a moment, she sat back down. Her expression returned to its usual calm. "Silas, let's talk about the time you were trafficked."My movements paused for a split second. Something deep inside me rattled, but nothing showed on my face."What's there to talk about? I was sold to an old widow in the mountains," I said, gaze drifting somewhere far away. "She was afraid I'd run, so she kept me chained in a pigsty. I ate, slept, and lived there. Her daughter was mentally disabled. She wanted me to get her pregnant."I let out a mocking laugh. "Maybe I was too young, or maybe it was something else, but I never got her pregnant."The officers who had been glaring at me now looked conflicted. They hadn't expected a past like that."After going through that, didn't you want to go home?" Kylie asked, her gaze deepening.I nodded. "Of course. I was

"I had no choice but to lock him in the pigsty and give him barely enough food," Maggie said."Later on, a group of bachelors in the village found out I bought a boy from the city. They couldn't afford wives, so they came to me, asking if they could pay to use him."She hesitated for a second, then muttered, "I figured it didn't interfere with anything else, so I just let—"Before she could finish, someone slammed their hand on the table and shot to their feet. "You're disgusting! He was barely a teenager!"Maggie shrank into her seat. She was too scared to say another word.I sat rigid, my brow knotted.Kylie glanced at me, then asked in a low voice, "What happened after that?""After that, he got older. I thought he could finally start working for me, but he was clumsy. Not only couldn't he help, but he kept ruining the fields. I got so angry that I had him go back to what he used to do…"After finishing her sentence, she took two quick steps back. "I know you're all angry, b

Kylie froze at my explanation. "Your brother was innocent. Why did you kill him?"I shook my head. "He wasn't my brother anymore. To sustain that thing, a host was needed. So they chose my brother. That's how their luck kept improving."As he grew up, that thing took over his mind completely. He became someone else." I sighed. "The statue in the basement is empty now. Whatever they were worshipping has already left. My brother was long dead."Naomi couldn't take it anymore. She shot to her feet and slammed her fist against the wall.No one made a sound. Some of the officers had already begun to tear up."So much suffering for one person."After revealing everything, I felt like a weight had finally been lifted. "That's what you wanted to know. They only brought me back home because they realized something was wrong with my brother. They were scared and wanted me to shield them from the curse. I've got nothing else to say now."Even Kylie was holding back tears. She took a long b
