Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Boss is a... Werewolf?: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 9

Nichole gulped down the rest of the cheap canned beer in her hand, letting the bitter liquid burn her throat. She looked up, gazing at the full moon shining brightly in the night sky. Its light was so beautiful and perfect, as if intentionally mocking her love life, which had officially been ruined tonight.Nichole's eyes stung terribly. Her nose was severely stuffed and throbbing with pain. Of course, that wasn't surprising; she had been sitting curled up, hugging her knees, and sobbing for about two hours on the roof of the King Industries Building. This skyscraper's roof was usually forbidden to regular employees. It solely functioned as a private helipad for that arrogant man. However, as the secretary who had dealt with the boss's temper for years, Nichole had a VIP access card. Tonight, she used that exclusive privilege very wisely: turning it into a place to mourn her fate without looking pathetic in public.Three hours ago, she had intended to be the best girlfriend in the wor

"This is just a hallucination," Nichole muttered over and over like she was chanting an exorcism spell. Her hands flew up, gripping her head which throbbed increasingly harder. She squeezed her eyes shut tightly, massaging both temples in a circular motion."Yes, this is just a hallucination. Damn discount beer. The factory must have accidentally dropped some illegal drugs in it. I'm going to sue that minimarket tomorrow... yeah, right after I wake up from this long sleep."Hearing his secretary's frustrated muttering, Samuel's jaw clenched. His pride as an Alpha Werewolf and as an arrogant CEO accustomed to having his every word obeyed was clearly rebelling. He had just revealed his biggest secret, and this woman actually considered him a side effect of cheap liquor? What an absolute insult. The sound of Nichole's bed creaking could be heard, as if a heavy weight had just risen from it.Then, the sound of heavy, bare footsteps padding against the wooden floor of Nichole's apar

Nichole's hand gripped tightly onto an XXL men's black t-shirt while her mouth muttered incessantly.Recalling the incident half an hour ago successfully made her blood boil for the umpteenth time this morning.Samuel King, her arrogant boss, had kicked Nichole out of her own apartment."Go buy me some clothes. And don't you dare come back until you've gotten a decent suit!" he ordered in a cold and authoritative tone, as if he were the rightful owner of Nichole's cramped apartment, while Nichole was merely a lowly servant.Nichole sneered inwardly as she tossed a pair of pants into her shopping basket. What a power-tripping man, Nichole thought. She was sure the man must have told her to leave so he could cry over his madness this morning alone.Unfortunately, due to the incident of being forcefully dragged from the building's roof last night, Samuel had left his phone and wallet at the office.Consequently, Nichole had to sacrifice her thin bank account balance. Frowning, she

The bulge between Samuel's legs was highly, highly suspicious. In fact, calling it just a bulge felt like an understatement. It was a sturdy "tent" vividly outlined through the fabric, threatening to rip the seams of the poor towel if Samuel moved even an inch.Nichole's tight hug, coupled with the friction of her body when she impulsively pressed herself against him a few seconds ago, had apparently awakened the Alpha's primal instincts.Nichole's face, previously pale with panic, now exploded into a deep crimson all the way to the tips of her ears. Her eyes widened, locked on that peach towel with an overwhelming mix of horror, embarrassment, and sheer awe."O-oh..." only that foolish syllable managed to escape Nichole's suddenly parched lips. The room abruptly felt ten times hotter than before."Where are you looking?" Samuel growled. His baritone voice sounded low and threatening, but if one listened closely, there was a slight hint of fluster that the Alpha failed to hide.Nichol

Nichole held her breath for a moment, peeking through the slight gap of the double doors in front of her.Inside the ultra-luxurious office, her boss, who was also the man who had woken up naked in her bed yesterday morning, was sitting behind his massive desk, busy signing a stack of documents.Recalling the series of crazy events from yesterday, starting from the werewolf identity confession to the humiliating incident with her ex-boyfriend, Nichole suddenly felt she had lost all her courage.Nichole stood at the edge of the doorway for quite a while, her feet feeling as if they were nailed to the floor, torn between wanting to finish her tasks quickly or running away to hide in the pantry.Inside the room, Samuel's patience had completely evaporated. With his sensitive Werewolf hearing, he could already hear Nichole's rapidly racing heartbeat and her hesitant footsteps ever since she stepped out of the elevator."Are you going to come in or keep standing there like a display piece?
