Lahat ng Kabanata ng Buy-One-Get-One Love, I'm the Extra: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 8

I turned right around to leave the cinema. My boyfriend, Nathan Linden, chased after me and grabbed my arm."You're this angry over a movie ticket?" Taking out his phone, he jabbed at it for a moment before shoving the screen in my face. When he spoke again, his tone was rather dark. "There, I've bought a ticket for you. Is that enough? Hurry up. The movie's about to start, so let's not keep Candace waiting."I stared at my seat number, noting how it was row 4, seat 5.Theirs were row 8, seats 6 and 7.Even now, Nathan still didn't seem to understand that the problem wasn't the individual ticket. It was the fact that he automatically assumed that the free ticket and the seat next to his belonged to my best friend, Candace Lane.I retorted, "Nathan, don't you think it's rather ridiculous for three people to watch a romance movie together?"He was momentarily surprised before he snapped, "You're suddenly saying that you don't want to watch the movie? Then, what about Candace?""N

"I'll go with you to Elena's birthday party tomorrow," Nathan anxiously said, cutting me off. Then, he planted a kiss on the tip of my ear and hesitated briefly before grabbing Candace's bag and running after her. That night, I lay alone in bed, unable to sleep even when dawn crept over the horizon.Candace hadn't returned the entire night.I hailed a cab and headed to Elena's birthday party by myself. However, I had barely arrived when Nathan appeared, carefully supporting Candace.Elena quirked a brow as she accepted their gift. She then leaned over to ask me, "Your boyfriend and best friend chipped in to buy me a gift while you bought one yourself?"My lips twisted wryly, even as my silence spoke volumes.Candace revealed the bracelet on her wrist, which had a charm engraved with the words, "With love, always," on it. She mumbled, "There was a buy one, get one free promotion, so it was incredibly worth it. That's why Nate also bought this bracelet."She made a huge show of mo

After getting into Elena's car, I seemed rather distracted, prompting her to say, "We'll still be able to make it in time for the company's recruitment event. Do you want to go?""Yes," I answered firmly. With that confirmation, she stepped on the accelerator and sped toward the company.Upon arriving at the scene, I weaved through the crowd with small steps, hearing them erupt into whispers around me.Nathan hurried over to me with large strides, and once he was behind me, I could hear his fast breathing. He grabbed me by the shoulder and turned me toward him, asking anxiously, "You already knew this was how it would turn out?"I was also scrolling through the admission list. My name was at the very top, yet even when I scrolled all the way to the bottom, I couldn't find his or Candace's name.Honestly, this outcome wasn't a surprise. They had been busy enjoying all the buy one, get one free promotions. They had been doing all sorts of intimate things couples would do. While

Subsequently, Elena revealed the details of the tests to everyone present.I led a team of five people, but only three of us were pulling our weight. We would stay up late many nights to work with Headquarters on refining the smart device's data, and on the weekends, we would reorganize and analyze the user feedback data collected by the operations team, then create a 200-page-long presentation on it.Besides that, we worked around the clock analyzing market trends and customer feedback on similar products overseas. I even drafted a proposal for a more deeply interactive product with Elena. While our team was busy with all this, Nathan had been taking Candace on hikes, going around trying all sorts of cuisine, and buying her a car.Every word out of Elena's mouth was sharp and to the point. Then, she turned to point a finger at Candace and spat, "Not only did you do nothing but be a burden, but you're even blaming Liana for not carrying you! She was even willing to forgo the oppo
