Chapter 9

Alex Brown sat in his chair for a while and went into the emergency room, Marisa Darcyhad awakened.

Because of the injuries to her face and legs, the originally exquisite and beautiful had become ugly.

Marisa Miller's eyes flashed and she covered her injured cheeks with both hands: "Alex , don't look at me."

She knew Alex Brown, he would be angry with Emma Rosy. His heart softened and he stepped forward to hold Marisa Miller's hand: "It's not ugly, it's okay." "Am I really useless-" Marisa Darcybites her lip and lifts her wounded and bandaged little face to look at Alex Brown. "No, don't worry, the baby will be there again." Marissa Miller stared at Alex Brown blankly. "Alex, I heard the doctor say, I know I won't have a baby, let's end this way, you should go to Emma Rosy, or... find another person who loves you …" The way she hid her face and sobbed in a low voice reminded Alex Brown of the woman. Each time, he slammed the door and left. Emma Rosy was hiding her face and lowering her voice to sob. If he came back the next moment, she would be smiling again,: "Why did you come back? Don't you want to be with me?" But... Marisa cried, how he thought of that women. "Don't worry, Emma Rosy's baby will be born just yours." The words came out, Alex Brown was stunned. Marisa Darcystopped crying. She looked at Alex Brown with red eyes, "Alex, is that right?"

The eyes were full of hope, like her. Like self-hypnosis, Alex Brown promised Marisa Miller, "Marisa, don't worry, when the baby is born, I'll carry it to you, and it will only be your baby." "What about Emma Rosy?"She was betting on Emma Rosy's place in Alex Brown' heart . Alex Brown' thin lips curled up : "She killed our baby, what else?" Marisa Darcyasked, "So when are we going to get married?" As long as Emma Rosy did not divorce Alex Brown, she could not take it lightly. Alex Brown' wife, the nominal woman can only be Marisa Miller. Hearing Marisa Darcyask this, Alex Brown hooked his lips: "Don't worry, I will give you a perfect wedding, wait for me." The words fell, he dropped a light kiss on the place where Marisa Miller's injury was bandaged. As the kiss fell, the person in his mind was her again. Marisa Darcyfelt the heat from her skin and said joyfully, "Yes, I'll wait for you." She had won. To Alex Brown, Emma Rosy is just a passerby Alex Brown looked at Marisa Miller's smile. Although it was sweet, he felt that something was missing. Yes, a little less lively and bright like Emma Rosy.

While lost in thought, Marisa Darcytook Alex Brown' arm: "Alex, stay with me tonight, okay?"

As if by electric shock, Alex Brown shook off Marisa Miller's wrist. Marisa Darcylooked at him with disappointment: "Alex ..." "I have work to do, you get some rest." Marisa Darcylooked at the brightly lit corridor outside, where there was no one:"Emma Rosy, I don't believe I can't get rid of you." "I've only been gone a year, why does he care so much about you?" ... The sun is shining brightly. Emma Rosy is sitting on a flower bed, and she is surrounded by plainclothes police officers in civilian clothes. At this moment, Emma Rosy is holding a medical book on obstetrics and gynecology in her hand and reading it, her face is quiet. She found it interesting to read, because she was a medical student, many of the difficult words in the medical book, Emma Rosy easily read. As she was reading, the book was taken out of her hand. Emma Rosy looked up and met a pair of blue eyes under a gold frame: "Who are you?" This person was wearing a slim gray-black suit, his the blue eyes hidden under the gold-framed glasses, looking like a quiet sea. Emma Rosy recalled her memory and was sure she did not know the man in front of her.

She spoke softly: "Sir, you are--" The soft voice paused. Emma Rosy stared at the exquisitely crafted Italian leather shoes on the man's feet, the exact same workmanship as the pair she had bought for Alex Brown. The man smiled lowly: "Remember?" Emma Rosy looked up at him, "It's you." The man who Saved her. Before she finished speaking, the man blinked and signaled that there was surveillance. Emma Rosy was not stupid, she understood his meaning, "You are?" The person who saved her life should be a friend, not an enemy. "My name is Joe Wright, I'm a lawyer, I'm interested in Miss Emma Rosy's case, I wonder if Miss Emma Rosy is interested in talking to me?" Joe Wright smiled and became even more charming. "Talk about my case, sure." Emma Rosy nodded her head. She didn't know what the reason the man was visiting her for, but the man named Joe Wright wouldn't harm her. She went upstairs side by side with Joe Wright and entered a private room. The policeman followed her upstairs and did the usual checks on Emma Rosy's belongings. Then he walked over to Joe Wright, "This gentleman, please let us check your belongings."

Bang! The door to the ward was slammed shut. He gave the police the briefcase he was carrying.

When the police looked through it, it was just Emma Rosy's case file and a clean, unmarked notebook.

The policeman smelled lemons and wonders, "Where does it smell like lemonade?"

The passing patient laughed: "Sorry, I accidentally spilled lemonade in the cafeteria."

Saying that, he also showed the police the hospital gown stained with yellowish traces.

The policeman waved his hand carelessly: "It's none of your business, hurry up and go."

"Okay." Joe Wright hooked his lips and gave a mysterious smile.

The police officer finished checking and knew Joe Wright's identity, and respectfully said, "Mr. Wright, please." The man in front of him is a rising star in the legal and political world, with a double master's degree in law and business from Harvard University. Joe Wright took his briefcase and smiled at the policeman: "Thank you." He pushed the door into the hospital room. In the ward, Emma Rosy sat in a chair near the windowsill with a cup of tea, her clarified eyes revealing yearning as she looked out at the playful people. Joe Wright looked dumbfounded for a moment. It was indeed her daughter, almost identical to her when she was young in the photo. Joe Wright sat down, took out the contents of his briefcase and laid them on the table. Then he said: "Miss Richard, I think you also know my identity, I will not say much, let's get straight to the point ......" Inadvertently, he overturned a glass of water on the table. The water in the cup wetted the notebook, and fonts suddenly appeared on the notebook. Emma Rosy froze: "This ......"

Joe Wright gestured her to keep quiet: "Miss Richard, are you burned?"

Emma Rosy shook her head dumbly, "I'm fine." Joe Wright grabbed his notebook and raised his voice: "It's wet, Miss Richard, help me wipe it down, please." Emma Rosy blinked and took the notebook handed to her by Joe Wright. Emma Rosy held the notebook, her palm was sweating. Noticing no movement outside, Jone leaned and whispered in Emma Rosy's ear and quickly left again. "Miss Richard, let's talk about your case first... were you doing anything at the time?" "I was at home." Emma Rosy almost forced her trembling voice to calm down. It was so thrilling! Joe Wright had just whispered in her ear, "Ten minutes on the clock, look at the notebook." Under such high pressure, Emma Rosy forced herself to calm down and look at the notebook in her hand. Joe Wright asked a few questions about her misappropriation of Richard's funds, it's typical questions. Emma Rosy's answers were normal. But when she looked at the notebook in her hand, her eyes suddenly flushed. She glanced up at Joe Wright, who winked at her, signaling her to look faster. Emma Rosy pursed her lips and nodded. So... in this world, she still had family.
