Old Major's the idealist whose dream gets corrupted after he's gone. The pigs, especially Napoleon, are the bureaucrats who seize control of the ideology for power. They rewrite the rules ('Seven Commandments') to suit themselves, which is the core of how political corruption works. Snowball is the rival reformer who gets purged. It's a pretty straightforward but effective allegory for how revolutionary ideals get betrayed from within.

I think people sometimes get too hung up on matching each animal to a specific Soviet politician. That's part of it, sure, but it kinda misses the forest for the trees. The real power is in the archetypes. Squealer isn't just a guy; he's every spin doctor, every PR mouthpiece that twists language until 'less food' becomes a 'readjustment.' His role is more timeless than being a stand-in for Pravda.
Look at Benjamin the donkey. Cynical, sees everything, says nothing. That's the intellectual who knows how it'll all go wrong but feels too powerless or disillusioned to act. He's maybe the most depressing symbol of all. The story works because these aren't just 1940s references; you can slot in modern figures and the roles still fit. The sheep bleating 'four legs good, two legs bad' could be a Twitter mob any day of the week.

Everybody talks about Napoleon and Snowball, and for good reason. But honestly, the horse, Boxer, always stuck with me the most. He's the embodiment of blind, loyal labor. 'I will work harder' isn't just a motto; it's the tragic engine that keeps the whole corrupt system running. He believes the propaganda so completely that he works himself to death, only to be sold for glue. That hit me way harder than the obvious pigs. It's a brutal symbol for how any revolution can consume its most devoted followers, the people it was supposedly for, because they're too tired or trusting to see they're being used.
You see this pattern with the other animals too. The sheep mindlessly chanting slogans are the manipulated masses, easily controlled. Mollie the vain mare who misses her ribbons? She's the bourgeoisie that abandons the cause for personal comfort. For me, the genius isn't in each character being a one-to-one historical figure, but in how they map to roles that keep repeating. The pigs just became the new farmers, with smarter rhetoric.

They are the Beast, ruling over the earth for thousands of years and are the ultimate Kings. They are invincible, powerful and cold hearted.
Their words are the command which no one dared to refuse, their actions are cruel which makes people tremble in terror, their presence itself is enough to make death turn it's way.
They had everything one could ask for- power, strength, position, wealth and looks. Yet they were not happy. The only thing they ever wanted in their life was their mate. They knew they are cursed to live without a mate, without their other half but it didn't stopped them from searching for their mate.
Then imagine their surprise when one night their mate magically appears in front of them out of nowhere.

The Beast Kings are the one who are merciless.
They are the one who are Savage Beasts.
They are the one who are Heartless monsters.
They are the one who killed thousands and thousands of people.
They are the one who causes fear in people with just the mention of them.
They are the one who doesn't have enemies because no one dares to oppose them.
They are the one who have strength combined of all the supernatural species.
They are the one who are the kings of All.
They are the one who are The Beast Kings.
They are the one who are searching for their mate ever since they remember.
They are the one who will do anything to find her.
And she is their Mate.
Their little Rose.
Their Human Mate.
After a heart-pounding hunt, the pack gathered under the full moon for a celebration.
Because of my contribution, I earned the right to bathe in the Sacred Spring and feast on the Stag King's meat.
Just as I was about to take a bite, Emily Carter yanked it from my plate.
"This isn't for you!" she snapped.
In the pack, our roles were similar, but I outperformed her at every turn. She had been targeting me for months.
I ignored her and reached for another piece, sliding it into my mouth.
"Are you even listening to me?" she screamed, charging at me. Her hand shot up, ready to slap me.
The next second, I grabbed her wrist and tossed her aside.
Emily landed on the ground with a growl, her face twisted in fury.
"You arrogant little wench! My father is the great Alpha King, Hyde Sullivan! How dare you?" she continued, her voice cracking with rage.
"I'm revoking your Sacred Spring privileges!"
I pressed a hand to my mouth, letting out a quiet laugh.
Hyde was my uncle, and he never had offspring.
I was his only successor.
WARNING]
This story is not the typical childhood tale where the princess will be saved by her prince, and they will live happily ever after.
This tale is about the princess who made her happily ever after- and to do that, she needed to be wicked like her stepmother.

"Run!"
Snow doesn't have the choice but to follow prince Arthur. She closed her eyes and ran into the dark and dense forest.
"Awoo..."
Snow's quick run was stopped when a loud howl echoed through the forest. "What should I do? I can't go back...the queen soldier is all over the place and this is the only place they won't dare to go..." she uttered.
Although her whole body was trembling, Snow continued her walk but she made a full stop.
"Grr..."
Snow's eyes widened as the cold sweat broke out on her forehead. " It looks like I can't escape death tonight..."
I'm a half-baked forensic examiner whose only redeeming quality is the ability to understand animals.
The crime scene is inside a lavish villa. The lady of the house lies dead on the floor with a blunt-force injury to the back of her head so deep that her bone is visible. The safe has been pried open, and a million dollars in cash has vanished without a trace. Clear shoe prints mark the backyard wall, evidence that someone has climbed over it.
"This one's clear as day. This is a textbook robbery-homicide. The suspect is likely a young male, around six feet tall, has a prior theft record, and knows how to cover his tracks. Check the surveillance footage in the area and look into places where he might've moved the stolen cash."
The director of the forensic science center, Egbert Woodward, has been in the profession for three decades and is a widely respected authority. The officers at the scene nod in unison and begin taking notes.
I'm the only one who stares at the 30 flies circling the ceiling for a full 3 minutes before taking a step forward and piping up, "Dr. Woodward, this isn't a robbery-homicide. It's a crime of passion. The murderer is the victim's husband!"
The ending of 'Animal Farm: A Fairy Story' is a brutal revelation of cyclical oppression. Initially, the animals overthrow humans to create an equal society, but the pigs gradually morph into the very tyrants they rebelled against. The final scene—where the pigs and humans dine together, indistinguishable—symbolizes the betrayal of revolutionary ideals. Power corrupts absolutely, and hierarchies re-form even in systems meant to be fair. The animals peering through the window represent the disillusioned masses, realizing their rebellion changed nothing.
Orwell mirrors real-world revolutions where leaders become the new oppressors. The pigs' manipulation of language and history parallels how regimes rewrite narratives to control people. The ending isn’t just bleak; it’s a warning. Revolutions often recycle oppression unless vigilance against power-grabbing persists. The farm’s name reverting to 'Manor Farm' underscores the futility, completing the circle of exploitation.
