Honestly, most of the big platforms support both now, but the experience isn't equal. Take Radish—fantastic app, really polished for binge-reading episodes. Their website? It's functional, I guess, but it feels like they put all their effort into the mobile experience. If you're primarily a phone reader who occasionally uses a browser, it's fine. If you want a true dual experience, maybe look at Inkitt. Their web version is nearly identical to the app, just bigger. I read most of 'The Alpha's Rejected Mate' on my tablet browser and it was seamless.
It really depends on whether you value consistency or if you have a primary device. I'm mostly mobile, so a weak web client doesn't bother me much.

I need something that works everywhere. After testing a few, Scribble Hub is my go-to for original web novels. It's a website first, but the mobile browser experience is surprisingly clean—no annoying redirects to download an app. You can just read. Lots of ongoing stories from new authors, update schedules are clear, and everything is free. For translated stuff, Wuxiaworld is solid on web and mobile. Their app is just a wrapped browser, but it gets the job done. Sync can be a day behind sometimes, though.

I bounce between my laptop during work breaks and my phone on the subway, so WebNovel was a natural pick for me. Their sync is decent—it usually remembers where I left off, though occasionally it glitches if I've been reading offline on the app. The mobile interface is smoother, obviously, but the web version lets me have multiple tabs open for different stories, which is how I keep up with three ongoing cultivation serials at once.
Some folks swear by Dreame or GoodNovel, but I find their web readers clunkier, almost like afterthoughts. The main draw for me with WebNovel is that the coin system and daily check-in rewards work across both platforms, so I can grind for free chapters on either. Just watch out for the pop-ups on the website; they're more aggressive than in the app.

You're not just reading smut-you're stepping into fantasies too bold for real life. This collection delivers raw, unapologetic, toe-curling tales that dive headfirst into taboo temptation, dominant lovers, and scenes dripping with lust and power play.
Each chapter brings a new pair (or more 😉), new kinks, and wild scenarios-from forbidden office affairs to brat-taming bodyguards, hot professors, naughty neighbors, and secret hookups that should never happen... but do.
Some stories are told in third person. Others? You'll be the one getting pinned, spanked, or seduced-written in Y/N POV so you feel every sinful second.
So if you're into steamy, twisted, dirty-as-hell reads that don't shy away from the filthy stuff-this is your new obsession.
Let's be honest. You're not here for the plot. You're here to get ruined.
Warning: This book is soaked in desire, soaked in sin... and soaked in more.

I woke up inside a novel, and not even as an important character.
I became a pretty background extra in a smut novel.
My brother, however, was the only normal person in the entire story.
His character setting was the one man the soft, delicate heroine could never win over.
He was the cold, unattainable Prince Charming she could never conquer.
When the heroine cried and confessed her love, he was studying.
When she offered him her whole heart and body, he was busy starting a company.
When she spiraled into scandals and nightlife, he was already a billionaire, calm and untouchable.
I thought he would live a quiet, ascetic life forever.
Until one night, I walked in on him at midnight…
holding a piece of clothing I recognized all too well, murmuring a name over and over, a name so familiar that my scalp tingled.
I get frustrated when a serial I love gets taken down to become an ebook exclusive on Amazon. I understand why authors do it, but it fractures the reading history.
Pricing models are a huge part of this. All-you-can-eat (Scribd, Kindle Unlimited), purchase (Kindle, Google, Kobo), borrow (Libby, Hoopla). The app that 'supports' both formats might lock you into one economic model you dislike. Think about how you want to pay before you get dazzled by the technical integration. The cost can determine your enjoyment more than the app's features.
Honestly, I've tested it on a few devices myself because I'm always switching between my phone and tablet. The GoodNovel app runs fine on iOS and Android phones—my old Samsung Galaxy A51 handles it without a hitch, and it's smooth on my friend's iPhone 12. Tablets are where it really shines for me; the bigger screen on my iPad Mini is perfect for those long reading sessions. I'd avoid trying to use it on any e-ink Kindles or older Fire tablets without checking the app store first, though. It's not officially on those. Basically, if your device can get apps from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, you're probably good to go. The website version is also a decent fallback if you're on a laptop or something.
One thing I noticed is that the reading progress sync between the app on my phone and the website on my computer isn't always instant, sometimes there's a lag of a few minutes. It's a minor annoyance, but it works well enough that I don't feel tethered to one device. I tend to use the app for actual reading and the website more for browsing new titles or managing my library.
I just use different apps. Seriously. Trying to find one app to rule them all is a quest for misery. I have Libby for library loans, Audible for my subscription credits, and Apple Books for the stuff I buy on impulse on my iPad. They don’t sync with each other, and that’s okay.
My brain is compartmentalized enough to remember where I left off in three different stories. I think. Maybe.
