Trying to piece together the reading order for the Gods Multiverse novels is a bit like assembling a sprawling fantasy map without the legend. There isn't a single, universally agreed-upon path because different characters and factions spin off in their own directions before colliding again. I started with the main trilogy that kicked everything off, which gave me a solid foundation for understanding the core mechanics of how these linked universes function and what's at stake for the pantheons involved.
From there, it gets delightfully complex. Several side series delve into the origins and machinations of specific deities or explore entirely new dimensions within the multiverse framework. These can often be read in any order after the initial trilogy, depending on which god's story intrigues you most. I jumped around based on character fascination, which felt organic, though I occasionally had to double-check a wiki to see where certain crossover events fit chronologically.
The real trick is the occasional 'bridge' novel that weaves threads from multiple side series back toward the next major arc. Paying attention to publication dates helps untangle that web, as authors often release these connective stories to set the stage for a new mainline sequence. My bookshelf ended up looking a bit chaotic, but the journey through the ever-expanding lore was worth the minor confusion. I'd suggest keeping a notepad handy for character names and realm-hopping rules.

copyright (Warning this is a dark God and Goddess novel. This is all war and manipulation. It won't be pretty at times and it may make your cringe but every scene has a purpose. You just have to keep reading to find out more)
Mazaya(masaya) is the goddess of wisdom and creation she's anything but normal. she's emotionally unstable because She holds too much power. She's the only God that was born with a dark god and light God parent. It was never heard of before her. So that explains why she is the most powerful God in existence. Right? Not really because nothing is as it seems. Gods are manipulating each other left and right to prevent complete control. Things you think you know turn out to be a spell caused to protect the world. The only truth is the what they are living now. The past could be lies and there's only one way to find out the truth, to go along Mazaya's journey. One thing is true though She only has one weakness and when the most powerful Gods find it out they work to exploit it so they can control everything. The person who possesses her rules all. Will Mazaya be a pawn in this war against Gods or will she be able to free herself from some of the most ruthless Gods in existence. It' starts off slow but once you get into it it heats up and gets intense. nothing is as it seems in a world full of the most powerful gods. There will be sex scenes and at times it will seem out of there but this is a world of Dark Gods not weak mortals. And what is the way to ones soul? sex and manipulation.
If you're asking about novels with 'Gods Multiverse' in the title, it's a bit tricky because it sounds like a concept or a sub-genre rather than one specific, famous book. My guess is you might be thinking of a web novel on platforms like Webnovel or RoyalRoad—maybe something like 'The Gods' Multiverse' or 'Multiverse Gods'. The general premise across these tends to be a system or a being from a higher dimension interacting with countless worlds.
Usually, the main plot revolves around a protagonist, often from Earth, who gains a unique power or is chosen by these cosmic entities to travel between different realms or dimensions. The stakes are universe-sized, dealing with the politics and wars of god-like beings. It's less about a single, tight narrative and more about endless escalation and world-hopping. I've read a few, and they can be fun for power-fantasy, but the plot often feels secondary to the cool powers and multiverse exploration.
Honestly, without a specific author or series title, the 'main plot' is pretty much 'MC becomes super powerful across many worlds'. It's a popular setup for serialized online fiction where the story can just keep expanding forever.
There's some understandable confusion about the standalone vs. series status of 'Gods Multiverse'. Officially, it's not part of a numbered series with direct sequels following the same cast. However, I'd call it a spiritual or thematic series member alongside the author's other works.
If you've read their earlier book 'Pantheon Protocol', you'll spot similar cosmic mechanics and a shared fascination with divinity-as-a-system. The concepts echo each other, like different experiments in the same lab. The author seems to be building a loose, connected universe of ideas rather than a strict linear narrative.
So, you can absolutely read it by itself and get a complete story. But if you love the worldbuilding, diving into their other titles gives you a richer, more expansive sense of the 'multiverse' they're crafting across their bibliography. I treated it as standalone initially, then went back and appreciated the connections later.
I get a kick out of mapping out series for friends, so here’s the clean, no-fuss path I recommend: read 'The Diviners' first, then 'Lair of Dreams', followed by 'Before the Devil Breaks You', and finish with 'The King of Crows'. Those four books are the published sequence and were written to be read in that order — each builds on plot threads, character growth, and the creeping mythology of the 1920s supernatural world.
Read them in publication order if you want surprises preserved and character arcs to land properly. If you’re hankering for extra atmosphere, try the audiobooks while walking or on a late-night drive; the tone and period language really sing that way. Also, keep in mind content triggers — the series handles violence, trauma, and some mature themes, so pacing yourself can help.
One last tip from my experience: savor the middle books. 'Lair of Dreams' and 'Before the Devil Breaks You' expand the scope in satisfying and sometimes unsettling ways, so don’t rush the quartet. I still get chills thinking about certain scenes, in the best possible way.
