The reading order is basically the manhwa, then the novel. The manhwa is a solid adaptation, so start there from chapter one. Once you finish the available manhwa chapters, you can switch to the web novel. Just be careful with the novel chapter numbers because different sites label them differently—sometimes there's a prologue chapter zero, sometimes not. I read it on a site that had everything in a clean list, and I just went from top to bottom. If you hit a side story, maybe skip it and come back later; they're nice but they break the flow of the main revenge plot.

Anyone else kinda throw the official timeline out the window after a certain point? I started with the Manhwa adaptation, which is what most people find first, and it covers the main story pretty faithfully up to a point. The web novel chapters, which are the source material, have a LOT more going on—side stories, alternate POVs, flashbacks that the manhwa sometimes skips or reorders for pacing.

Honestly, the ‘correct’ order is just to read the manhwa from Chapter 1 onward, then jump to the novel once you're caught up. But the novel's chapter numbering is a mess because of multiple translation groups and sites. Some label the prologue as Chapter 0, others start at 1. The safest method is to pick one translation source and stick with its numbering.

What gets confusing are the ‘side story’ chapters sometimes inserted between main plot arcs. They’re usually labeled as ‘SS’ or ‘Extra’ and can be read after the arc they reference, but reading them in the middle of high tension can really kill the momentum. I’d save all those for after the main storyline, like a dessert course.

Also, some aggregator sites have chapters wildly out of order, so I ended up cross-referencing a fan wiki to get the sequence right. It’s a bit of a hassle, but the core story is straightforward enough that even if you read a few chapters out of sequence, you’ll probably figure it out. The fan translations vary in quality too, so if a chapter seems confusingly written, it might be the translation and not the plot.
