Author's POVThe crescent moon hung up in the dark blue sky illuminating the dark path that led up to the top of the tall tower. The air was chilly as it brushed against her cheeks and on her bare arms were goosebumps raising from the chill and the night wind blew softly against her face. Her feet were already cold and numb in her boots and she shivered involuntarily and pulled a blanket tighter around herself. There was no one else out here at this hour and there wasn’t any reason to be out of her room in the middle of the night. Maybe not to the devil but to Sherry, the woman who had set her sights on the Alpha and was willing to do anything to make him hers. The crickets and the bell chimes seemed so loud but the silence didn’t bother her so much as the fact that she couldn’t hear anything especially when she had sold her soul to the devil. She strode towards the labyrinth. She paused and darted her eyes around to observe her surroundings carefully. She knew this was risky but sh
Author's POVInhaling the cold evening breeze, Beta Rowan crossed his arms over each other as he strode around the Pack. On days like these when Niklaus wasn't around, he had to be at alert to ensure that the Pack and Packhouse were safe.Although there were soldiers at the border, Rowan still couldn't let their guard down. It was very risky especially since they had a lot of enemies and friends likewise however due to the deep fear the other surrounding Packs had for Niklaus, it was more of respect and fear. No one dared cross his path because they knew the consequences. "Good even, Beta." Two guards on patrol greeted him."Good evening Ethan. Good evening Jeffrey. How are you today?" He offered them a smile."We are doing good, thank you." They offered him a smile."Were you able to rest during the day in preparation for night patrol?" "Yes." Jeffrey replied."Alright then. Goodnight." He patted them and waved them off.A smile formed on Rowan's face as he ascended the tower slowl

Noya’s POV Help. Somebody help. I trailed my hands on the bed, dipping my fingertips into the blanket before turning on my side. ‘You need to wake up now, Noya. Your destiny awaits you. Go now.’ Feeling a gentle nudge, I snapped out of my dream and sat up on the bed immediately. What was that dream all about and Who was the woman in my dream? I curled my hands around my small frame while trying to remember the dream. I racked my brain hard but I couldn’t remember anything except those last words. “Ouch.” I gritted my teeth when a splitting pain coursed through her head. I gripped my head with my hands trying to relieve the throb I felt. A loud groan pierced through my thoughts and I shuddered. ‘What the hell was happening? And where did the noise come from?’ I ran my hands over my face before getting up from the bed. I could still hear the cries and clanging of swords in my head. It felt like a dream and it left me confused. Reaching for the brown door by my right, I opened i
Niklaus's Pov"Die!!"I yelled, thrusting the sword into the Alpha's chest. Even at that, I didn't feel my anger dissipate. It was still there like the raging fire refusing to go out even though it was running. My chest heaved with every breath as if a knife was twisting around inside me and trying to tear it open, leaving my insides raw from the effort of keeping it closed.I had killed the Alpha of the pack and his Luna, but still, I felt empty. I wanted to kill, I wanted to maim. I wanted to alter the cause of lives just like mine was.Looking at the surroundings, I noticed that the havoc that my men had caused had already reached an unprecedented level. The buildings and everything were in ruin, everybody in the Pack was already dead already and still, it didn't appease the burning fire raging inside me like a raging volcano threatening to spill over. This wouldn't do. I still wanted to kill. To murder more people until her sweet face and her last words to me no longer taunted me.
Noya's PovMy fate had long been decided as I had been caught. I didn't even bother to struggle again. I was bundled up and thrown into a cage. I had little or no choice. I scanned the mighty army before me led by the monster who was no doubt their Alpha.I had imagined him to look like a monster since he was a monster but when I met his gaze. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. His skin glowed with health and his dark brown eyes gleamed with life. His raven black hair hung loose to his shoulders and his long eyelashes framed a sharp face. I had never met any other man quite like him before. He radiated vitality from every pore of his body as his eyes bore through me, making me feel naked before him. I wondered if he could read my thoughts. While I took in his handsome sculpted face, something clicked in me. He should have been dripping blood on his arm since my mother had inflicted an injury on him before her last breath. However, when I directed my gaze to his arm, everyth
Noya's povBy the time we got to the Pack, it was dark and my whole body ached from being tied up and manhandled by Alpha Niklaus' angry guards. Wrapping my arms around my frame, I darted my eyes around the strange room which was now mine and thick dread engulfed me.What if I was killed before dawn? Fluttering my eyes close, I curled into a ball on the bed by a corner of the small room. Tears seeped through the corners of my eyelids, flowing down my cheeks as my stomach growled in severe hunger but I didn't dare say a word, instead, I turned on my side. This was my life now. A life full of misery. My wrists were covered in red marks and my fingers were stiff from how tightly my nails had dug into my skin in an attempt to stop myself from doing something I shouldn’t have been able to do.The only thing that made things worse was my inability to move my arms much at all without feeling as if
Noya's povI pushed the door backward and was welcomed to an empty room. My lips parted in awe as I scanned the beautiful chambers that had two large windows overlooking the entire Packhouse.A three-poster bed with some dark wood paneling and red velvet upholstery in a design reminiscent of medieval stained glass windows stood in the center of the room with deep black silk curtains draped down from the sides of it. The room was decorated with paintings of beautiful landscapes and an almost musky beautiful citrus tang flooded my senses. My eyes fluttered close and I inhaled the beautiful scent. As I exhaled, the smell became stronger. The air itself was thick with it as if there were layers upon layers of the stuff surrounding me in the atmosphere. There was an unmistakable presence in the room that had just been revealed to me. I inhaled slowly to get used to the scent oI felt an energy surge in the room almost immediately and I needed no one to tell me who it was. My belly tied in
