“How is dad?” Rayan asked as soon as he met Richard in the hallway of the VIP ward. He was just returning to the hospital with Anthea from home. It's been three days since Benjamin was out of the ICU.

“He's out of danger, thankfully. We just shifted him to the general ward.” Richard answered with a smile, making Rayan sigh out of relief. Anthea also relaxed, feeling a heavy burden get off her chest. They were all terrified for the last three days because of Benjamin’s critical condition.

“Is he conscious?” Rayan asked after a moment of silence.

“Yes. He gained consciousness half an hour ago. You guys can meet him, but be careful. He shouldn't be stressed at any cost.” Richard informed and then advised seriously. Both Rayan and Anthea nodded, taking notes on his words.

“I understand. Thank you, Richard.” Rayan offered Richard a faint smile.

“You are welcome.” Richard smiled back before walking away, leaving Rayan and Anthea alone.
