Sneaky

Ember's POV

I was lounging on the deck of the house, deciding to be all by myself after making sure that my kids were well fed and also due to the fact that I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms akin to addicts.

Who would have thought that I'd be missing Xander so badly. Something had changed on the night of that Solstice and I wanted to get it back. My mind kept drifting to that man as much as I wanted to control it. My eyes laid on the scenery before me.

A part of me wanted all of these to never have happened in the first place. It was all Trent's fault for inviting that unsuspecting criminal into our midst. He was a criminal because I knew that he was trying to steal my heart which was going to be impossible.

Seeing that I was probably giving myself a big headache, I reached for my pencil and a paper and began to sketch designs on it. I didn't know when I had managed to finish sketching up to tej designs in a space of... I glanced at my watch, "Twenty minutes. That's fast."
