MARCH, 15, 2019.
THE CRESCENT PACK HOUSE.
In the moderately decorated living room, two adults, a man, and a woman, were seated on the double seater couch, while another, obviously their daughter, was head bent; kneeling on the floor.
"Are you ready to speak now, Claude?" The man asked her.
"Father, I'm not guilty. You know I wouldn't do-"
She was about to continue when a resounding slap landed on her cheek.
Dumbfounded, she raised her misty eyes and fixated them on her parents.
They were Alpha Michael and Luna Silver. Both governed the affairs of the Crescent pack, and the girl who was kneeling in front of them was their only daughter; Claude.
"Mother, wouldn't you speak to him?" The devastated girl turned to her mother, who also turned her face away.
Sobbing, she got up slowly and threw a hateful look at the both of them.
"Father, mother," she began.
"Don't call me that, Claude. I can't give birth to a slut like you!" Alpha Michael thundered at her.
His words made his daughter halt in her tracks. She swayed slowly and massaged her temples.
"So, you will choose to believe another, over your own daughter? Calling me a slut even. Just great, dear parents." She turned to leave.
"You wouldn't walk out on me, Claude. Stop right there!" Alpha Michael sprang up from his chair.
"Is there any reason why I shouldn't?" Her voice was cracked and her vision of him was blurry to her.
She staggered out of the room without another word and headed to her own room.
She bolted the door, and fell on her bed, as her tears poured out in torrents.
"Where did things go wrong?" Her sobs stopped after a while, and she sat up on her bed.
Her mind wandered to the cause of the drama between herself and her parents.
Denver.
She was mated to Alpha Denver Rocke, the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, a very powerful pack in the werewolf kingdom.
All had been well, especially for her parents who valued reputation over their own daughter.
They saw the opportunity as an avenue to strengthen their foothold in the werewolf world.
However, a few months ago, her mate started behaving in a funny manner.
Denver wasn't a stranger to her. In fact, they had been friends for years. Childhood playmates.
And throughout all their years of friendship, he had never raised his voice at her.
He had always spoken in a calm and gentle manner.
However, a year ago, he accused her of cheating on him, with a human; Jace; their high schoolmate. All efforts to make him see reason had proven futile, to a point where she began wondering if he was under a spell.
He captured her, against her wish, and took her to his pack, where he imprisoned her in an underground basement.
He even told her parents that she was a cheap slut, and her parents saw no reason why the Alpha of such a powerful pack would cook up such a story.
They believed his story and promptly disowned her.
She turned and looked at the clock, as the thought of her own parents disowning her stabbed into her heart like a thousand needles.
The tears resumed their spills down her cheeks.
The clock continued ticking. Denver would be there anytime soon.
The door pushed open, distracting her thoughts.
She raised her head, and her gaze landed on a lithe, familiar figure.
"Victoria," Her voice was cracked as her shoulders drooped in a sad motion.
Her best friend hurried over to her, and draped her arms over her shoulders, in an attempt to console her.
"What happened? I thought you were in the Blood Moon pack?" Victoria whispered.
"I was, I am rather. My parents begged Denver to allow me to come over for their interrogation as they put it." Claude closed her eyes.
She felt ashamed as she spoke to her friend.
Victoria in turn sighed sympathetically. "I'm sorry about what is happening. I wish there was any way I could help." She sighed again.
Claude turned and flashed a grateful smile at her childhood mate.
Victoria was the daughter of an Omega of their pack, and throwing away the difference between the both of them, Claude had agreed to become her best friend, even against Denver's objection.
Her mother, Luna Silver ignored their friendship after Claude had ignored her several warnings.
Victoria patted her head again and got up calmly.
"I have to tend to the chores I was doing. I hope you scale this phase." Victoria whispered.
"A phase? I wish. Denver literally labeled a lethal accusation against me, and the painful part was the fact that my parents swallowed them, without hesitation." Claude turned her gaze away and fixated them on her window.
But then, she didn't notice the smirk which crossed her friend's face. However, it wiped off as quickly as it came, almost as an illusion.
"Don't you think there is something you can do?" Victoria sat back on the chair.
"Something? I wish there was a way. I've racked my brain, to the point of migraine." Claude sighed.
"Listen to me then, the cause of all these is your pregnancy, right?" Victoria questioned, nervously.
"Yes, and the fact that we bumped into Jace a year back, at that shopping mall," Claude explained the obvious.
"He has a thing on you, which would have been acceptable if you didn't have a mate." Victoria shook her head.
"But, come to think of it, the both of us were the only ones at the shopping mall that day. How then did Denver know about it?" Claude turned and asked her friend.
Victoria fidgeted nervously, which Claude didn't notice.
"Well, maybe he sent someone to tail after us. Forget about it." Claude waved her hands dismissively, earning an inward sigh from Victoria.
She was about to say another word, when the door pushed itself open, in a rough manner.
Both ladies raised their heads up, and their eyes automatically widened when they saw who the intruder was.
( AUTHOR'S POV )"Denver?" Claude whispered in fear. She had come to see Denver as her own nemesis."Let's go." His command was short and emotionless, however, it was sufficient enough to ignite a chilly feeling around Claude's heart."Alright. See you next time, Victoria ." Claude got up slowly and walked out of the room, without taking another glance at her friend.Once outside, Denver dragged her hand and furiously led her down the stairs. He didn't even acknowledge her parent's goodbyes and angrily dragged her over to the car."Let me go, Denver. You are hurting me." Claude whispered.Without acknowledging her words, he pushed her into the car and shut the door shut.Claude decided to remain silent on the drive home. Taking a sharp glance at Denver, and nervously clasped her hands, and placed them on her knees. She knew he was already in a foul mood, and another word from her would further fan the flames. She turned her gaze away from the front view of the car and turned it towards
( Denver'S POV )I stomped off in anger as I headed upstairs.I was literally boiling at that moment and felt I could end the life of any being who would approach me.'Do you think treating our mate in that manner is acceptable?' I heard Landon say.I sighed. Landon was my inner wolf, and it seemed he always took Claude's side against mine."She cheated on us, Landon. Do you still think we can salvage the situation?" I retorted.'But was there any need to act in that manner?' I heard Landon's voice in my mind."Act in what manner, Landon? What I did was the right thing to do. Don't you agree with me?" I ran my hands through my hair.At that moment, I heard the sound of a loud thunderbolt, and I sighed again.'The right thing to do? That's what you think, Denver. You hurt her, by the way, you acted.' Landon said calmly."And what business of mine is it? She isn't our mate in the first place. Is there any need to act in a kind manner to her?" I asked my persistent wolf.'She is pregnant,
MARCH, 18, 2019.CRYSTAL DIAMOND HOSPITAL.( CLAUDE'S POV )It had already been days since I had a discussion with Victoria, and today was the day I was getting an abortion.Yeah, that was right. I had finally agreed to get rid of my first child. The product of my mating with Denver, and the outcome which has brought me nothing but pain and misery.I knew my child was a girl. I had felt it. Call it motherly instincts, or whatever. No one knew I was at a hospital. Since my parents weren't around when I arrived, I hoped they wouldn't know of my whereabouts.Well, it wasn't as if they cared anyway. All that mattered to them was for me not to do anything that would taint their image in any way.I patted my stomach fondly.'Don't forgive me, dear child. This heartless mother doesn't deserve it at all. Hate me all you want, and I hope when you return, the family to which the Moon goddess would send you, would make me more accommodating and happy at your arrival.I felt an emptiness and void
March 15, 2014.( CLAUDE'S POV )"Claude, wake up, wake up." A gentle push on my shoulders woke me up. I opened my eyes slowly and sat on the bed.My body ached a little, and I stifled a yawn. And then something clicked in my mind, and my eyes widened."Hey, are you fine?" A calm voice beside me reminded me that I wasn't alone. "I'm fine Victoria." As I spoke, I wondered what was happening. Wasn't I supposed to be dead?"Victoria, what year is it?" I asked with bated breath.Victoria in turn looked at me with a weird expression."Are you sure you are fine, Claude?" She asked again."Do I look otherwise?" I retorted."You don't, and that's the problem." She shook her head.I sneered inwardly at her words. To think that I had lived with such a white lotus who could pretend perfectly well. Had I been blind all along? She told me the date, and I groaned. I was right.I was back in time, and my room confirmed it.I was about to get up from the bed when a sudden sharp pain made me fall back
Claude’s POVI got up from my bed with more enthusiasm than I have ever felt. Today I was going to see the ones that betrayed me… oh wait, I just saw one of them, Victoria. That bitch! After all I had done for her she still betrayed me, after disregarding my status as the Alpha’s daughter and going ahead to be best friends with her, she still had the guts to do this to me. I really don’t blame her, I blame myself for being so gullible. If I wasn't so soft-minded I wouldn't have been friends with her in the first place and all of these would have been avoided. All is well, I'm thankful to the moon goddess for giving me a second chance. Now all I have got to do is never repeat the mistakes I made in my past life.I took a quick shower and while I was still in the bathtub I heard a knock on the door.“Who is it?!” I yelled.Whoever it was didn't seem to hear me as he or she continued knocking on the door.“I say who the fuck is that!” I yelled, this time I used my Alpha female voice, a vo
“I don't understand, Miss Claude. Why will you ask me that now? You know I used to be a lone wolf before I joined the pack. It is the reason my scent is off.” she said.I listened. The statement sounded like I have heard it a thousand times and deep down I know I have but still, something didn't feel right, I know it but I just couldn't place my hand on it.“Oh, sorry about that. I had an accident and my mind is foggy. Do forgive me.” I said with a smile. She smiled back. “It's nothing. I actually came to check up on you, your mate and your best friend are downstairs, they are waiting for you… That is if you are strong enough to go to school, the Alpha and Luna are worried that you might not have healed enough to go to school.”“Ria, what do you think?” I asked. “About her strange scent or about going to school?” she replied with a question.“Both, but first, about her scent, isn't it a bit off?”“From what I remember it has always been like that. Your dad knows of her strange scent b
Author's POV “Claude!!! I’ve been waiting for you, let’s get going else we’ll be late for class.” I heard Victoria say. She was running towards me, with smiles on her face, fake smiles. Gosh, it was so obvious, I wonder why I never noticed it. “Well for numerous reasons, you were dumb, gullible, and weak,” Ria answered, chuckling. “Yeah, I know. You don’t have to rub it in!!” I pouted. She finally got to where I stood and hugged me awkwardly, I forced myself to stay in place and not push her away. “Claude.” Someone said, behind her. I looked up to see the one I dreaded seeing the most. Denver. My mate. The life we once had hard flashed through my memories at once. Flashback THE PAST LIFE… May 11th 1995 Author’s POV “Miss Mary, can you get me my Barbie doll? Denver threw it on the roof and now I can’t get it out.” Claude sobbed. “He did? Where is he? He deserves to be spanked.” Miss Mary, Claude’s own maid said. “He is over there,” she pointed, still in tears. “Let’s go,
Author’s POV “Hey, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.” Claude apologized swiftly. She was already covered in guilt. “No, it’s not you.” The girl said, wiping her snort with her hands. “Denver!! We have a situation at hand!” She called him. She knew he was probably hiding around one of the bushes and from the odd way the berry bushes looked She knew at once that he was behind it. He did not comment. “Come on, I know you are hiding behind those berry bushes so quit acting like a cry baby and come out of there!!” She yelled, festering with her hands. She heard a loud some of the protest. It came from the direction of the bush. Soon after he was out, there were leaves on his clothes and hair. He had a tight expression on his face as he was headed her way m. She chuckled at the sight of him. “Nice decoration boy.” She teased, laughing. The girl turned around and when she saw Denver she couldn’t take her eyes off him. “What happened?” He asked, ignoring her laughter. “Do you mean,
