This is in Wunmi’s pov
"Here's your new secretary, Miss Wunmi Adebayo.” Uncle Kayode said to my supposed new boss, then he faced me.
“Wunmi, meetmy deputy CEO and your new boss, Mr Tayo Williams."I looked up at Mr Tayo who is looking at me like I was a ghost, his look immediately changed into an unfriendly look. One thing now is that I keep looking at him too, wondering why he looks so familiar.
*Silly you! How could you have met him before?”
"Wunmi!" Uncle Kayode called. "What are you thinking of? Why are you lost?”
I just shook my head and gave a smile because I didn't want to make the new boss more upset than I think he is, since he isn’t smiling.
"Okay, I'll leave you two. Wunmi, meet me in my office during lunch and don't be scared of that look, he can't hurt a fly." Uncle Kayode chuckled.
I noticed Mr Tayo smiled at Uncle Kayode, revealing his dimples at the middle of his cheeks, his smile was one of
the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Uncle Kayode left the office leaving me and my new boss alone. His face turned into a frown, after which sat on his chair and faced the work he was doing before we came in.I stood there in front of him, expecting him to say something to me. I was here to work not to stare at him.
I breathed in deep and out, then finally I said, "Sir, what should I do?"
He looked up from his computer, stood up and walked close to me. "You want to work right?" he asked.
"Yes, that's what I came here for." I answered a little shaken at my answer.
"You'll work, your work here is to coordinate meetings and ensuring they are organized, maintaining records, answering phone and a huge array of tasks. I believe Caroline has told you what to do already, anyways go to your desk, I'll call you when you're needed." Mr Tayo said, knowledge and grace laced in each words he spoke. He couldn’t possibly be someone I knew.
"Okay sir." I went out of the office to mine which was just outside his.
I sat on the chair and looked at the table, everything has been set. I even had a new laptop, for work though. I thought of everything Caroline told me, also what Mr Tayo said, he might want to make this place a hell for me if I don’t do his work properly but I mustn't allow him to get to me, I have to do everything right for Tunde’s sake.
I sat for sometime doing practically nothing but telling Lara about how my work is going, I heard the phone ring.
"Hello." I said into the receiver.
"Come inside now." Mr Tayo said at the other end.
"O-okay sir." I stuttered for the first time since I got to the office. No matter what had ever happened to me, I never stutter,
now I'm worried of what I'm going to meet inside. "Here goes nothing." I said as I walked into his office.Mr Tayo was sitting on the desk apparently waiting for me.
"I'm here sir." I said.
"Of course I can see you." He muttered. Thankfully, he isn't frowning at me anymore. He stood up and carried all the files on his table. "Take."
I collected the files from him but I couldn't hold it all, some of it fell on the floor and I could swear I heard him chuckle. I packed the ones on the floor and held it together. "What should I do sir?" I asked.
"Those files have been signed and checked. All you have to do is to sort it out and take it to their respective offices. If you need help you can ask Caroline she'll help you."
"But-" I wanted to ask some questions but when he looked up at me, raising his eyebrow. I nodded in understanding, "Okay sir, I'll do just that." Then I went out of the office and dropped the files on my table. "I'm in hot soup." I said to myself.
In the afternoon, during lunch. I sat with Uncle Kayode at a buka in front of the office.
"So how is the work going?" He asked while we were eating.
"Er… it's fine but I don’t understand why Mr Tayo was so mean. He didn't even tell me which office to take the files to, he just told me to sort it out and take it to their respective offices." I frowned while I answered.
Uncle Kayode smiled at me. "Don't worry about Tayo, he said he'll be hard on any secretary he gets. But he can't do it, he is overnice, I trust by
tomorrow he would be back to his normal playful character. You'll see.""Are you sure Uncle?" I asked, I wasn’t convinced.
"I'm sure, I've worked with him for about two years now and I know a lot about him." Uncle Kayo answered.
"OK. Has Lekan gone?"
"Yes," He nodded. "He told me to send you a lot of kisses, that boy is not serious." Uncle laughed.
Wunmi laughed. "He told you that? He's out of his mind."
"I know right."
"What about the girls, Taiwo and Kehinde?"
"They are fine, they'll be taking this year's Jamb examination."
"Oh that's good."
*Time skips*
"So how was work today?" Lara asked.
I shook my head, and groaned in annoyance. "The man mean me before."
Lara laughed. "Tayo? Are you sure? Or have you met him before, probably he remembers your face?"
"I'm not sure, his face looks so familiar though."
"Maybe you two have met and he remembers you. You’re in hot soup if you did something to him before."
"I’m a good kid. I don’t think so." I shrugged. "But that isn't enough reason for the punishments."
"Have you forgotten? Uncle Kayode said Tayo doesn't want a secretary and has promised to make it hard for any of his secretaries."
"I’m dead!"
"Yes." Lara laughed, then she stood up from the bed and walked to her drawer, "See what Femi got me." She showed me the new gold wristwatch.
"Wow, that's a lot of money there." I commented.
"Yeah, you too should get a boyfriend." She kept the watch back in the drawer.
I looked at her and smirked. "Boyfriend right? With all this problem in my head."
"Which problem? You're already working for the money naa."
"Abeg*
get out, I'm tired, what did you cook?" I got up and took off my shoes."What about Tayo?
He's really hot, maybe you’ll end up falling for him. You know those TDH** guys you told me about when you were still in secondary school.”I stared at her as I remembered about how much I talked about these TDH guys that was so many part of my life when I was still a teenager. One of them is Tayo, the only nonsense boy I ever fell in love with.
"Tayo." I whispered, I looked at Lara and she nodded. It was like we were thinking the same thing. "He can't be the same one."

During one of these weekends, she decided to follow Lara to her family house at Ikoyi.Wunmi and Lara came out of the Uber car they paid for into the big mansion. The Security man at the gate greeted them, “Small madams, welcome o.”They both smiled at the man.“Tochi, how are you?”“I dey o.” The man responded, beaming with smiles. “How School?”“School dey fine.” They answered as they walked into the compound.Wunmi looked up as they walked. "You guys just painted the house?""Yes." L
This is in Wunmi’s pov"Good morning." I said to Natasha as I walked inside the office building. She didn't answer me as usual, then I walked in thinking about why she's like that. I almost wished I didn’t say a word to her, the scowl on her face was scary as hell, almost seem like a bad luck for a new morning."Good morning Wunmi." Caroline greeted me, making me realize I already walked past her without noticing it.I turned and gave her an apologetic smile. "Good morning, Don’t be annoyed.""What were you thinking?""It's about Natasha,” I frowned. “She hasn't been nice ever since I got here, I don't know why?"Caroline laughed. "So you're putting that girl issue in your head, Don't mind her it's her own problem. That's how she is sometimes, I mean most times." She chuckled."I really don’t understand her, anyways I’ll see you at lunch." I shrugged and walked into my office.Mr Tayo w
This is in Wunmi’s pov"You can check the mirror now." Lara said after she was done with the last face makeup. I didn't want to but she forced me to do a makeup simply because it's my first date.I wriggle my tongue at her and collected the mirror from her, I looked into it and saw my reflection."Lara!" My eyes widened. "What have you done to my face?""It's makeup." She answered coolly, as if she never did a thing."Hey! All my face has changed, I don’t look like me." I frowned, still looking in the mirror at myself."Yes, that’s why it is called makeup, what do you expect?” Lara smirked. “You look stunning, I bet Tayo's jaw will drop when he sees you."I shook my head and sighed. "Even this date, it’s like you’re the one who is going with all the preparations you’re making. You forced me to practically dress like a bride.""Ha! The wedding? I won't do that make u
*This is in Wunmi’s pov*It's been more than a month that Tayo and I have been together. I didn't have a problem telling everyone and no one has a problem with us being together except Natasha. Before, she ignores me but now that she acknowledges me, she does some things to just hurt me and when she's in front of Tayo, she behaves like an innocent angel. When I told Uncle Kayode, Caroline and Tunde about Tayo and I."I knew there was something when the both of you first met, again." Uncle Kayode said. “The way you two were both staring at each other was weird for people who just met.”We all laughed and I responded. "There wasn't anything Uncle, he was kind of mad at me on the first day we met, I don’t even know why.""All I know is that I saw that there was something or there would be something between you two someday, and don't tell me there was nothing because I'm older than you all and I can see something you all ca
*This is in Third person’s pov*"I've brought the meat!" Tayo announced as he entered the kitchen."Is that why you're now shouting?" Wunmi said and collected the bag from him."Lara, please wash this meat, I'll slice the vegetables and fry them.""Okay." Lara opened the bag. “This is very much.”"Everything is not for the fried rice, some are for the 'Asun' (Barbecue).” Tayo said."Hello Mister," Lara faced him, frowning. "Don't give me headache here please, take the ones you want to use and go outside to grill them.""Okay ma." Tayo collected the bag from her and took the meat he needed then he went outside.Tayo, Wunmi and Lara were preparing food as Ade was arriving from Port Harcourt that morning."Are we going to take him from the airport or he's coming here from there?" Lara asked."Oh yeah, I didn't even ask Tayo about that." Wunmi peeped through the kitchen window and noticed Tayo
This chapter is in Wunmi's p.o.v Tayo and I just got back from the office and we met all the lights in the house off. "Ade." Tayo called. "Lara?" I walked to the switch and turned on the light. We saw Lara and Ade on the couch, cuddling and asleep under a blanket. I burst into laughter as the scene in front of me is really funny. Tayo joined me later then he put his hand on my lips. "Shush, get water from the fridge." I tiptoed carefully and got the cold water then I gave it to Tayo, we moved closer to the sleeping couple, shifted the blanket and Tayo poured the water on their faces. "Hey!" They yelled and got up immediately. I and Tayo stood there and started laughing at them. "What did you do that for?" Lara glared at the both of us. I collected the cup from Tayo and dropped it on the table. "There are a lot of r
