“No one important,” came Ryan’s response.
Amelia’s gaze darkened, her eyebrows pinching together. She couldn’t believe Ryan would open his mouth to say such after the display the woman had just given.
“Really?” she flung her arm from his hold, glaring at him.
His jaw clenched.

Amelia nodded slowly, taking a step away from him. She had the mind to walk out on him but a glance around showed her that there were more than a few eyes on them. She wasn’t even surprised. The way the woman had acted with Ryan, despite her presence, was enough to raise brows and attract attention.
